Love the new updated site. You all are doing a great job. PUMA power!
Hello Hill Supporters,
I am a HUGE Hillary fan and PUMA (blog.puma.org) member, along with other Hillary Supporter Organizations.
I want to tell you of an upcoming event organized by Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain (hcsfjm.com) .com, NOT .org. The bots took over the .org version.
We are planning a “Green Rain for McCain” on July 4th. Please donate $5.44 to his official site as a message that we are Hillary supporters and we are taking a stance against the DNC and Nobama. The .44 represents Hillary as the 44th president and is from Hillary is 44 site.
If you are planning on voting for McCain, instead of Nobama, please pass the word so we can have over a million donations made on that day. If you plan to sit the election out this year, we understand completely. But if not, help us make this a huge event.
Thanx.
N.Collins
Obama is the most unprepared nominee in history and the most untrustworthy. I’m registering as an Independent. I will NEVER go back to the DNC. Most of my friends feel the same way.
bitterness gets you nowhere. the logic for voting republican because hillary lost is childish. grow up people!
let me guess, you’re gonna tell my mommy on me.
You are doing EXACTLY what the RNC wants you to do…..blind sheep, wake up!

DEAR FELLOW feminists,
Yes, I qualify. Like some of you, I grew up in an era where a woman president was an impossibility, where there were no women doctors, few women in positions of power, no women professors. I went to a coeducational college, where, although women got higher grades than men, we never directed plays, edited the newspaper, or were allowed to lead an organization. We washed dishes regularly in our dorms, while our fellow male students had maids clean their rooms for them. We had male professors who openly derided the idea of women scientists. We graduated and became secretaries; the men graduated and became reporters for The New York Times. I raised my son when there was no child care, was raped before there were rape crisis centers or anyone to talk to.
I get it.
I marched for women’s rights, helped found the first feminist group in Cambridge, and like some of you, danced for joy when Geraldine Ferraro was nominated for vice president.
But I also grew up in an era when an African-American president was an impossibility, when African-Americans in the South were shot for having the temerity to vote. I worked for civil rights, registered black voters. Later, I witnessed busing in Boston, where angry white mobs stoned school buses filled with terrified black children, where people of color were never in power.
I get it.
I support Barack Obama for president. It’s OK that you have supported Hillary Clinton. I get it, I really do. What I don’t get, can’t get, is seeing some of you riled up Clinton supporters threatening to vote for McCain.
Let me get this straight; you consider yourself a Democrat and a feminist. Yet rather than vote for a man who supports a woman’s right to choose, children’s healthcare, and an end to the war in Iraq, you would vote for a man who voted against all of these things.
You would vote for a man who is promising to nominate far-right activists for the Supreme Court, a man who votes consistently against choice, affirmative action, and workers’ rights.
You would vote for a man who supports President Bush on most major issues vs. a man whose positions are quite similar to Clinton’s.
I just don’t get it.
Obama followed the rules, took his name off the ballot in Michigan, and didn’t campaign in Florida or the Great Lakes State when his party told him not to. Meanwhile Clinton, who said at the time that those votes “shouldn’t count” ended up yelling that they should.
Obama has generally taken the high road; he has criticized some of Clinton’s policies, but never sunk to the level of personal attack as her campaign has done, playing on race and questioning his patriotism. He never mentioned that the Clintons consulted the Rev. Jeremiah Wright over their marital problems, at a time when she was attacking him for his association with Wright. He started out with less money, less support from party insiders, less name recognition, and he won. Yet you are so angry at him, you would rather vote for a man who would deny health insurance to your children? A man who would send your children to die in an endless war?
OK, you would dance in the streets to have a woman president. I would dance in the streets to have a woman or an African-American president. Both of these would show us something dramatically changed about America. Most of all, I want a president with integrity, and to me, Barack Obama is that candidate.
OK, you’re deeply aggrieved that your candidate, who you think is entitled to the nomination, seems to have lost to someone who played fair and won.
I say, get over it. Sometimes your candidate loses. (My candidates almost always lose). Then, you vote for the next best candidate. You don’t pout and whine and vote for somebody you really don’t believe in. You don’t stamp your feet and refuse to vote.
In short, you grow up.
Susan Jhirad is a professor of English at North Shore Community College.
By voting McCain, you are showing extreme disrespect to Hillary’s hopes and wishes. You will support a candidate that has the complete opposite views as Hillary.
Don’t give up your vote because you are sour that your candidate lost, as it will go against things you do not like. Your candidate loses, it’s a fact of life.
Please reconsider voting for McCain
I don’t understand. Maybe I am confused.
Alright, you are upset that your candidate did not get the nomination. That much I understand. But did your candidate not come out in support of Obama? Does Obama’s views and policies not closely mimic those of your candidate?
Take a long hard look at what McCain stands for. For the women out there. Take a long hard look at the $300,000 he just accepted from a fundraiser held by a man who said, and I quote “if it is inevitable you might as well just lie back and enjoy it” while speaking about rape. RAPE!?! Now there is a man who supports women’s right! And John McCain took money that man raised.
If you truly support Hillary and her view for this country, you must believe that she would not endorse someone she did not believe in. Sure even she would rather that it be her name on the ballot, but there is always next time.
Be proud we have come this far, folks. And please do not sit out this election. That shows nothing except a disregard for your civil duties.
So, I’ve looked at the site, and I can’t really find any values or beliefs that would identify “PUMA”s as Democrats. I do see a lot of really mean-spirited hate talk direted toward Obama, but nothing about the war (you want us to stay?) or taxes (you want tax cuts to oil companies and the richest americans?) or healthcare (you want more unbriddled profit motives, the same ones that reated the mess we are in?) or education (you like no child left behind?) , or Roe vs Wade (you want to vote for someone who will repeal Roe vs Wade and calls his urrent wife a c***?), or homophobia or immigration or diplomacy or farm policies or housing or just about anything else.
I get that you hate Obama and will say anything you can think of to disparage him, but what exactly makes you Democrats? I think you might feel more at home just joining the Republican party. Don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out.
To those comments that say that as Hill Supporters we are just whining, that we need to grow up, and to “don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out”.
Well, we have had enough, and we are not going quietly in the night, although I am sure most of you would hope that we would. This is bigger than party (democrat or republican); this is about country. The DNC stripped voters of their rights, Obama’s caucus results were ill gained., and women in this country were ridiculed, and we should all be ashamed for what we let happen.
As for what Obama stands for ,in regards to health insurance, choice, and his position on the Iraq war. Obama has voted “present” to choice, and he has changed his positions to the war (check his voting record) throughtout these last years. His committment to health insurance is marginal, at best.
You bet I was a democrat, deeply committed to stopping the war, ahd health insurance. The democrats have not stopped the war (since Nancy in 2006), and have shown no real committment to making health insurance happen. Hillary was and still is my choice. I saw and heard committment in her voice. Now I am an independent, and proud of it.
I have zero confidence in Obama.
.
Hi,
I am an Obamabot. Let me insult Hillary supporters and see if they will switch to my candidate.
Seriously, are you all paid to blog or something? lol
For me, it isn’t about sour grapes or being a sore loser. Had Hillary lost to a more experienced candidate, such as Joe Biden or Chris Dodd, I would’ve been 100 percent behind the Democratic candidate.
The reason I won’t support Obama in the general election is because he’s so inexperienced and the second-worst candidate (behind Dennis Kucinich) to run for president this year. That didn’t change because he barely won the primary. I didn’t support him because I believe he would be a lousy president, and I still strongly support that opinion.
I don’t know for whom I will vote, but it won’t be Obama. I may vote for McCain and then begin working with everything I have to nominate and elect a better Democratic candidate for 2012.
I will not fall in line because the DNC tells me to. This is the first time in my life that I haven’t been fully behind the Democratic nominee by convention time. I wasn’t a Clinton fan in ‘92 or a Kerry fan in ‘04, but I was in their corners when it became clear they would be the party’s standard bearers during those years.
I just can’t get behind the incredibly weak candidate that the DNC is offering up, especially during these horrific times. NO OBAMA!!!
I liked Biden too - but do you hear the Biden supporters acting like this? How about the Edwards supporters? And Bill Richardson’s? And Chris Dodd’s? Of course not - those men were gentlemen. And there are many women who know how to act like professionals - but frankly for our first female president - Hillary towards the end of the campaign exemplified everything people (men and women) dislike about a dysfunctional boss of either gender. Lying to make people think she was something she was not (Bosnia), maniupulative (getting Edwards, Biden, Obama, Richardson, and Dodd, and Kucinich to all agree to remove their names from the Michigan ballot - and then to double-cross them all and leave hers on so she could later claim all of those delegates as hers), divisive (using the SF comment to call him elitist - when Bill Clinton said almost the same thing about Republicans using the wedge issues like God, guns, and gays to win over votes - knowing that those people cling to those things), shrill (same on you Barack Obama - enough with the big rallies and speeches - you meet me here).
No - I think if any of us were to pick a person to work with it would be someone more like Obama than Hillary. And if you’ve ever read many books about her or the Clintons - books written by those who DID work with them, you’d learn a lot about how hellish it was for her staffers and people in the white house. Some of the worst decisions the White House made in their early years were the decisions Hillary was behind.
Things like - requesting the FBI files on over 100 Republican congressmen. Firing the white house staff in charge of making travel arrangements, accusing them of fraud, and then hiring her travel agent friends from Arkansas to do the job. Three of her Rose Law Firm partners were put into the Attorney General’s office - Vince Foster had a suspicious suicide and the other two were indicted before leaving office.
Then you have Norman Hsu, Johnny Huang. Read up a little.
Hillary makes awesome campaign speeches - she’s done 3 presidential campaigns, 2 senate campaigns, 3 governor’s campaigns, and at least one for attorney general. Bill won every race except 1. And she’s done hundreds of fundraisers also. But being able to promise on the stump and smile and show amazing endurance on the road is not the same as getting something done in the Senate - and it’s nothing like getting something done as the Chief Executive.
No - I want to see some of the other women out there like Gov. Sebelius or others who have proven they can govern.
And in the meantime, my vote is going for the candidate who understands that the quickest way to bring about the complete economic downfall of this country is to go forward with the Bush/McCain plan to set up 50 permanent bases in Iraq and then to do missile strikes (followed up by WHAT?) on Iran.
Can you imagine watching another “shock and awe” campaign in Tehran - and say, “Yep - I helped make that happen” because of pettiness?
How dare some of you try to tell me that I am turning my back on my beliefs as a former democrat. This is America and I am free to vote for whom ever I choose.
I do not have to vote along party lines and I am quite comfortable with my choice. The Democratic Party turned it back on me by selecting a candidate that was not elected by the people. They manipulated out votes to suit their purpose and I will not stand for it.
I will be voting for McCain in November and against every one in my state who played a part in this.
Barrack Hussein Obama is a threat to the safety and security of this country. His economic policies will set us back many years and his racially divisiveness will take us back to the 80’s. NO THANK YOU!
As a woman and Hillary supporter I’m intelligent enough to know that no self respecting woman would ever vote for McCain. He disrected his first wife, he disrespects his current wife by calling her despicable names in public and he disrespected Hillary when he laughed when she was called a bitch.
This site, owned and created by Suzanne Hendrix is a farce. Suzanne Hendrix is a registered Republican in Scottsdale Arizona.
You must think us former Hillary supporters are idiots, well we’re not.
Redraz9…I am angry about how the Dems messed up the primaries too, but I am not angry enough to help put a man in office that does not belong there anymore than Bush belonged. I want some BRAINS in our President and McCain has none, he proves it every time he opens his mouth. He graduated 4th from the bottom of his class at Annapolis. As soon as he got in the Senate he was mixed up in the S/L debacle, one of the Keating 5. I won’t go on and on, but there are many reasons not to vote for McCain. I certainly do not see Obama as a threat to the saftey & security of this Country, I see him as our LAST HOPE…!!!
My reasons for supporting John McCain:
I am not a socialist and therefore cannot consider a vote for Obama.
The future of America depends upon a president who is experienced and able to lead the country… which Hillary was.
A vote for John McCain, in my view, is an alternative to Hillary. He is honest, experienced, has no personal motives beyond love of country. He also holds capitalistic views where hard work is rewarded.
If elected Barack Obama will retire and go on a speaking tour for which he will earn hundreds of millions of dollars.
They won’t be worth much but he’ll be okay. Oh yes, he will also have redistributed the income of hard working people into the hands of those who are often not taxpayers, nor are they productive. Socialism is just great as long as you don’t have to give away your own money.
That’s my story…
U.S. documents proving POW McCain seriously “collaborated”.
You’re not a hero, you’re a sell out McCain.
Harley Wood: do your homework on McCain….even the vets are not with him, he is not honest, he is against women’s rights, and he will continue the Bush idea of REDISTRIBUTING THE WEALTH UPWARD, his tax cuts to the wealthy and Corporations is double what Bush did…….DO YOUR HOMEWORK….Obama is not a socialist…….nor a Muslim, nor any of the other slime the Rethugs have dreamed up. Carl Rove tacticts are the only ones they know…….lie, distort, cheat and steal……..Keating 5….google it, as McCain would say……..just don’t blindly vote…Learn about these people first.
To all the Hilary supporters who now pledge to vote for John McCain, I only have one question: What the HELL is wrong with you people?! McCain is the worst thing that would happen to women in this country since…well, since George W. Bush. Be a good citizen and THINK before you vote.
Everybody calm down — this, along with Dems for McSame et al, is just an astroturf organization, founded, funded, and run by Repugnantcans, and gathering in a few sheeple who MGHT have voted for a Democratic candidate if she/he were Whiter and Righter and HolyRollyer. The only people supporting this Titanic who aren’t in on the con probably think that the ideal Democratic ticket would be Joe Lieberman & Zell Miller.
In other words, the scammers always intended to vote Repugnantcan, and the sheep will be mesmerized by American Idle reruns all day election day and forget to cast a ballot.
Funded by Republicans? I am a lifelong Democrat and I funded this out of my pocket.
John McCain is WRONG for America……Republicans have caused the largest deficit this country has ever had. Bush’s tax cuts to the wealty & Big Business and unprecedented wild spending by a Republican Congress. McCain wants to double those tax cuts, if spending is curbed, it will be in SS payments and Medicare. Take care of those rich people, that is the Republican Mantra…the GREAT WHITE MALE !!! From a man who calls his rich wife a c*nt….. you women who are for him have all had lobodomies, or you are married to one of these money grubbing monsters!!
Pumagirl, who are you? Why is the current registrant for this site “DomainsbyProxy’? If you’re a lifelong Democrat, why not say who you are so you can prove it? It’s awfully difficult to prove that you’re a Democrat if you won’t say who you are.
Obviously you can keep your identity secret, unless someone subpoenas something related to this site and your proxy registration service has to give up your name and contact information. But there’s no reason for anyone to believe you’re really a Democrat, particularly given the shortage of anything on this site that explains why McCain actually serves Democratic policy positions better than Obama does.
Incidentally, I’ve noticed that some other supposed lifelong Democrats using the PUMA acronym have turned out to be McCain supporters going back to 2000.
I am a lifelong registered Democrat who before this primary season, would NEVER vote for a Republican. But I am voting for McCain. Does my anger at Hillary’s loss run that deep? Perhaps. But more important, my patriotism cannot allow me to choose someone who is as inexperienced and unqualifed to be President as Barack Obama. No one wants to admit it, but BHO is the GWB of 2008. W had similar credentials, and he beat out a much better candidate (McCain) in 2000. Just because BHO speaks better than Bush does not make him a leader.
The Democrats had a great candidate. And they threw her away.
1834-1842: Illinois legislature
1846-1848: single term in U.S. House of Representatives
1854: reelected to Illinois legislature, declines seat in order to run for a Senate seat, fails twice to be elected to that position by the state legislature (prior to the 17th Amendment, U.S. senators were not directly elected).
1860: nominated to run as the Republican candidate for President
Evidently this was sufficient experience and qualification to become president when the U.S. faced its most difficult problem — reconciling the division between North and South, industrial and agricultural, free and slave — but just won’t cut it for the war on terror.
Obama obviously isn’t at the Lincoln level, but it’s rather silly to compare someone with an excellent legal education (including having been a lecturer in constitutional law), substantial experience in the state legislature and 3.5 years in Congress to G.W. Bush, a failed businessman whose sole political experience in 2000 was being governor of a small-government state since 1995. Do you know how many more foreign leaders Obama has met than Bush had? How many more foreign nations he’s visited?
This idea that Obama is the 2008 version of Bush either puffs up Bush’s 2000 resume hugely or (the more likely intent) denigrates Obama’s abilities and accomplishments. What is the experience Sen. Clinton has had that Obama lacks — the additional 4 years in the Senate? So I can expect that you would want to elect Obama in 2012. Or is it her stint as First Lady? I don’t think Obama can replicate that.
What are her qualifications? She graduated from an Ivy League law school — so did he. She spent several years practicing law — so did he. She worked in the public interest (children’s issues) — so did he (civil rights). She taught at a law school (U of Arkansas) — so did he (U of Chicago).
The big differences I see in their resumes is that Obama did not serve on any corporate boards, nor did he hold any positions to which he was appointed by his spouse. I don’t think those are experiences and qualifications that should be deemed necessary to becoming president.
A vote for Obama is a vote against America. I strongly believe that! Although, not my first choice, McCain is the right choice, now that Hillary is out of the race. Obama is nothing more than a salesman with no substance. For me, its not about dem or rep at this point , it is about who is best for our country……that is NOT OBAMA!
To Susan, Professor of English:
Tell me Susan, when was the last time the Democratic Party, with the subterranean help of certain DNC members in tandem with some hotshots in the Senate and House PLUS the MSM decided to:
. Attempt to totally discredit and bring down a past president who helped to make our lives so much better during his term in office, who’s been described by major print publications as “the most influential man in the world,” and a former first lady and respected sitting senator?
. Outrageously paint them with the “racist” brush, when nothing could be further from the truth, so that their chosen candidate could snake-oil his way in under the radar?
. Allow this female presidential candidate to be relentlessly attacked with viciousness, ridicule and untruths by a rabid MSM and opposition campaign mouthpieces?
The hyperarrogance of Obama, his surrogates and supporters is simply too much. Never in my voting lifetime have I seen such a blatant power grab BEFORE actually becoming the official party nominee. This guy and his backers are so shockingly power-hungry that it boggles the mind.
McCain is NOT the worst thing that could happen to us. I see him as a one-termer if he wins. That’s not a lifetime.
Evidently, someone thinks BHO is equivalent to Abraham Lincoln because they both come from Illinois? How ludicrious!! And to compare the resume of someone who lived 150 years ago vs. the present day strains credulity at best.
It was clear throughout the primary season that Hillary Clinton was the most prepared candidate. Evidently the experience she gained (both as senator and first lady served her well). Obama did nothing but repeat the positions she stated first. If BHO is that good, why did he refuse to debate Hillary? I never heard of Lincoln shirking from a debate. Oh yes, that was a tactic used by GWB in 2000 and 2004.
I won’t vote for Obama. Why?
1. For 20 years, he attended a church that felt advancement of anger towards others was a good agenda. His judgement was so poor that he took his children there - that’s a good way to bring about change right?
2. If you look at his legislative record, there is little if anything worthwhile that he has ever accomplished - again, a refreshing change from all the other candadites!
3. His lack of knowledge and experience is evident for example in one of the debates, he said that he wouldn’t require health coverage for everyone but would make it available to them at the hospital if they needed it. Wow! That’s a change that will really work - I’d love to eliminate that family premiun from my monthly pay check (can he also set-up auto insurance so I only need to purchase it if I’m in an accident?)
Who will I vote for? I don’t know. I’ve always voted for democratics even in years when I didn’t like who was up because the were the better of two bads. Continuing with that philosophy, I clearly see McCain as the better this year. In any event, this is one “sweetie” who is not coming home to roost. Obama will not get my vote.
Dear Barbara @ 1030 pm 6/17:
I agree with some of what you wrote (I strongly preferred Sen. Clinton over Sen. Obama as the nominee), but I strongly disagree with your conclusion:
“McCain is NOT the worst thing that could happen to us. I see him as a one-termer if he wins. That’s not a lifetime.”
He may not be the WORST thing that could happen to us (it’s hard to imagine any President less competent than the current sorry excuse for one), and he may in fact be a one-termer if he wins - but if he wins, he;s likely to nominate the next SEVERAL Supreme Court Justices, and their terms are indeed a “lifetime”.
The SCOTUS has turned the clock back to the 1950s on several key issues since Bush appointees changed the delicate balance of power on the bench. A single additional nominee in the “Scalito” mold would be a tragedy for this country - one that would last my lifetime and probably my child’s lifetime as well.
I understand the frustration many people have with Senator Obama - as I said he was far from my first or even second choice - but the alternative is simply unacceptable. I strongly encourage you and all others to reconsider your support for Senator McCain.
Thanks for your time.
There are NO similarities in GWB’s background and Obamas……….GW B was a failure at everything he did, so we made him president!!!!!!!!!! The similarities are GW B and McBush McSame, or whatever you want to call him……….he is the biggest FLIP FLOPPER of them all….2000….Bush’s tax plan is too expensive……2008 he wants to DOUBLE the tax cuts. and everything else he was for then, he is against now…….
NOTE; BUSH is on TV trying to blackmail us into allowing drilling offshore……..Congress needs to stop the speculating on oil. Oil Companies direct this President, they want to drill offshore, they will keep prices up until we give in……..then they won’t lower them………Stop the Speculators buying at 3% Margin……..!!!!!!!!!!
I remain a Democrat in name only. Because my state holds closed primaries and many local elections are decided at the primary level I have to maintain membership in the party to have anything to say about those elections. That said, the Democratic Party no longer represents my interests. The sulfurous sexism in the coverage of Hillary’s run that went right past Democratic leaders while they winked and nodded at it was sickening. I cannot, however, vote for McCain. That would be a vote against my interests as a woman and as a citizen. I will vote for Obama as the lesser of evils, but I will continue to criticize him harshly for what I see as his shortcomings. (I did the same to Hillary, but she had fewer shortcomings). I will never again vote for someone only because they have a D by their name. I will continue to criticize the Republicans, but I will be just as harsh with the Democrats.
Hillary is the only one who can turn our country in the right direction .I will never trust Hussein Obama as commender in chief. He may be great danger for America.Hillary or McCain. Never Hussein Obama.
I am a registered Democrat and will not be voting
for Obama in November. My reasons are not because
I’m a feminist or a racist for that matter. It’s because
I don’t agree with his policies or raising taxes. I worked and saved all my life to get whatever money
I have now and I don’t want it redistributed to people
who don’t work or contribute much to society. I also
think he is not very committed to reforming our healthcare system and his plan is just going to be
a bandaid while costing tax payers more money.
He’s a flip flopper on many issues and I don’t trust
him because he’s just a typical politician. He lacks
experience and doesn’t deserve the job.
While I’m not crazy about Mc Cain he’s the least of two
evils and maybe in four years we’ll have a better
choice. My husband is also for Hillary or Mc Cain!
you know , the e-mails I read about why thousands will vote against Nobama ,he has taken my freedom to chose who I will vote for , a life long Demo. if you don,t vote for preacher type speaker, you are a racist, never mind that the change he wants is a black man to replace a a white man , GB is the most ignorant ,evil, savage who deserves the same fate as Sadamm. And in my opinion Nobama will make GB look like a Boy scout, many of us are not proud off what has become of what use to be a great party, who votes unellected super delgates , primaries , caucaues, where is the people vote,, called the most popular, it was not numboma who got it.It was that great Lady Hillary, so don,t take my freedom ,you vote your way I will vote my way
I find it truly amazing that the Obama supporters presume to know the “feelings” of the Clinton supporters - very much like Obama, himself, presumed to know that “small-town and rural Americans were “bitter” Bible-thumping, gun-carrying xenaphobics.
Perhaps, we Clinton supporters are a bit “bitter” but now that the worst has passed, I have come to a level of “acceptance” but not “resignation.” I still hold out hope that Hillary could be nominated at the convention but if not, I will do everything in my power to see that McCain is elected come this Fall.
My anger has moved me to take action. I am not going to wallow in “bitterness” or despair. I still believe in “democracy” even if “democracy” has been temporarily abandoned by the democratic party. Obama is a “threat” to this nation. McCain is a “moderate republican” as anyone can see who has looked at his long career of public service. We also know that he does love his country and although I am not in total agreement about his views on Iraq, at least he is not a “hypocrite.” He does have a son serving in Iraq which is more than most “pro-war” proponents have.
With Obama, we don’t know what he will do. He shifts and changes positions on issues almost daily . At times I think he simply forgets what he said previously. When removed from a “teleprompter”, his hem-hawing and gaffes are as bad as “Geo. W.” How for instance did he come up with “57″ states in the union?( I think even Geo. W. on his worse days would not make this kind of statement.)
Obama strains his credibility with even the most gullible and naive among us with his laundry lists of criminal political friends and associates, his anti-American, anti-Semitic ex-church and ex-pastor. With “friends and associates” like those of Obama’s , who needs enemies?
If the choice this Fall is between Obama or McCain, I will “for the first time in my adult life” vote for a republican for president. ( I am now 60 years old and have supported and voted for the democratic presidents since I was old enough to vote.)
I will not vote for Obama because I truly believe that he agrees with every anti-white, anti-jew, anti-America word that comes out of Wright’s mouth and that if he didn’t he would have left Trinity UCC long ago instead of waiting 20 years until it became an issue. Leaving the church when he did is obviously political expediency. His good friend, Davis is a communist. He downplays what are obviously long associations with the likes of Ayers and Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, a group which advocates black separatism in the form of a separate country either in America or Africa with the US taxpayer giving them land and supporting them for 20 to 25 years. Perhaps that is the reparations he wants. I believe that Obama is a socialist with a hidden agenda. I believe that his $845 billion Global Poverty Act with its reference to the Millennium Declaration which may put the US at the mercy of the UN (nobody seems to want to provide straight answers about what passage of the Global Poverty Act and the Millennium Declaration will entail) would be disasterous to the US as it could allow the UN to decide that 0.7 percent of our GNP is not be enough and allow them to decide to increase 0.7 percent to 10 percent or 90 percent. I can live with McCain for 4 years if it means that we will still have a country to have elections in 2012.
Well, Cassandra I absolutely agree with you! Obama is a socialist with a hidden agenda. To me, this is a dejavu. I’ve been in the USA for over 15 years and lived in Venezuela for many years. When Hugo Chavez was campaigning for President there, he talked about “change” and people loved that and he was elected President ,but he didn’t say and Obama don’t say what kind of change.. The fact of the matter is that Chavez is a “socialist” (communist )
So, Obama wins the nomination (?) and I couldn’t believe it same story about change! Obama is like Chavez, he wants to sit with all the terrorists around the world! Obama is scary! I have voted always Democrat but this time I’ll vote for John Mc.Cain who is experienced and honest. In the Primaries I voted for Hillary Clinton, she is the best candidate for President of the USA!
I understand not voting for Obama because of his lack of experience. The rest, however, sounds like irrational, vindictive madness–especially when it comes to voting for McCain. Less than two months ago, McCain voted against a law to require that women earn equal pay! This is not the 2000 McCain who ran against Bush. This is the 2008 McCain who is trying to win the social conservatives by falling in line with their wishes.
Obama supporters have been so mean and arrogant, not to mention abusive to Hillary supporters. I’d say that because I consider myself to be a woman who stands up for herself, I refuse to be abused by his supporters (being called ignorant, racist, etc) and then turn around and serve the abuser. Little would anyone say, but I saw this “abuse” in the media about Hillary.
This is a typical syndrome of battered women. So yes, I refuse to vote for a guy who gloats so much about unity, yet never bothered to tell the media and his supporters to behave as he says he would. (He always told everyone to not be racist.) He benefitted greatly from the sexism and division in the party. Obama the great divider - you are a sexist and you support abuse of women in the under-handed, subconscious sense…..You will NEVER get my vote.
And people who still want to talk crap and support this pretentious Obama, and not even try to understand the above….FIGURE IT OUT.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from reading many, many posts it’s that no amount of provable fact will enter the gray matter of an Obamabot. They’ve bought “The Emperor’s New Clothes” to the nth degree, and are either terminally stupid or naive in the extreme.
I won’t vote for BHO and hope that he does not win, simply because I believe that in one term he’ll accomplish little to nothing and thereby insure that a competent Dem candidate (HRC) won’t win 2012. He’s nothing more than a fly in the ointment. This country can survive 4 more years of crapola from McCain. We’ve had so few administrations that were Democratic that I hate to see another Jimmy Carter era that will swing the country back towards another conservative era to make up for it. If we don’t have THE right candidate (HRC or equivalent) we’ll never rebound. Obama is only going to dig the hole deeper.
My thoughts after Senator Clinton’s suspension speech.
As I sat watching Senator Hillary Clinton giver her concession speech on Saturday, I cried. It takes a lot for me to cry, but there I was crying. I cried for numerous reasons, but mainly I cried for her. All of the emotions I felt since first being introduced to her in ‘92 all came back to me. However, it was this election cycle I thought most about as I cried. While she was speaking and tears streamed down my face I remembered all the tears I shed since I first saw her speak at a rally here in Oakland last October. The tear of joy and optimism I had shed then and throughout this primary cycle was minor, a little tear down the face. Saturday however those lonely tears shed every once in a while, were accompanied by many others that had been waiting to come out all at once. So I have decided to share every tear I have shed during this primary election cycle.
I shed a tear as she came in third in Iowa and everyone said her candidacy, without some sort of huge push, was about as good as gone. I shed a tear a few days later when she found her voice. I even shed a tear when people lambasted her for her own tears, because I knew her tear was genuine. I shed yet another tear when people only heard the media play the snippet of President Clinton in New Hampshire saying Senator Obama and “fairy tale.” People just assumed, incorrectly, that the President was suggesting Senator Obama’s campaign for the presidency was a fairy tale when in reality he was referring to his stance on the Iraq War.
I shed a tear when I watched the debates and saw her getting grilled yet Senator Obama was given some pretty softball kinds of questions. He often after Senator Clinton gave amazing and thorough responses. I shed a very large tear at the end of February because she was not given credit for raising a large sum of money after being badly beaten in 11 primaries and caucuses in a row. This tear came as well because the pundits had said she has no chance of stopping Senator Obama. Another tear came when I saw the fight in her eyes and heard it in her voice when she told Senator Obama to meet her in Ohio. I shed that tear because I knew her opponent was using negative campaigning yet the pundits all pointed to her negative campaigning as very low and dirty and politics as usual and gave Senator Obama a pass on his brand of negative campaigning.
I shed a tear for Senator Obama when Charles Gibson held Senator Obama’s feet to the fire in that debate in Philadelphia. I shed that tear because it was about time someone held Senator Obama to the same standard in these debates as they had held Senator Clinton. When Senator Clinton put attention on how unfair these debates were, people again criticized her for acting like a baby. So a tear was shed for her because she couldn’t win for pointing out the obvious. I almost shed a tear when Senator Obama held a fundraising campaign to stop these debates when attacks are unfairly thrown, yet I stopped short of a tear because he did not come out against the harsh treatment Senator Clinton received. I shed another tear when I watched the news channel I had found to be unbiased begin to show its favoritism toward Senator Obama by allowing his supporters to contribute daily via the internet or the T.V. yet her supporters were absent, especially on the Internet. I shed that tear because I heard people on that network, as well as others, call Senator Clinton names such as being a “bitch” for bringing up and pointing out Senator Obama’s weaknesses. That tear stood on my face for a long time because many of these people were not reprimanded or forced to give an apology. I knew this was a double standard and it saddened me to no end.
I shed a tear as I watched Senator Obama and others criticize her for taking back a shot and drinking a beer. They said she was pandering to her audience, politics as usual. As that tear crept slowly down my face I saw how the media did not call out Senator Obama for pandering to the electorate by drinking a beer or all of a sudden deciding to wear an American flag lapel. Where was the fair and unbiased reporting that Senator Obama was being very hypocritical in his attacks on Senator Clinton? Again, that tear crept slowly because I knew Senator Clinton was once again being attacked just because people could attack a woman they thought they could kick around.
I shed another tear when I heard people say Senator Clinton was a poor sport or a sore-loser for wanting to change the rules in the middle of the game. I shed that tear because I knew Senator Clinton realized the party’s mistake and had asked for a revote. There were people willing to pay for the revote out of their own pockets, yet that tear came as people I had talked to didn’t realize that a revote might be possible and that others were going to pay for it. A tear was again shed when she won by huge landslides in several states, but people said it didn’t mean anything because this was her base. However, when Senator Obama won by those margins they not only said it was because of his base, but they also said because he has reached so many people it is great!
Another tear was shed when people called her delusional because the delegate math wasn’t in her favor. I shed that tear because I knew neither candidate had or would have the number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. That tear came again when I realized how many long time Clinton supporters and friends were backing Senator Obama. I though, “how could they do that to Senator Clinton?” I realized that these politians were out for their own good and future and did not have the country’s best interest at heart. I think some others want to continue their family’s legacy without being out shadowed by another family’s.
A tear is on my voter registration paper. I shed that tear because after being loyal to the Democratic Party I decided to form my sort of protest and register as an Independent. I did this because the DNC has treated the Clintons with disregard. Very few party leaders stood up and rallied against the negative and often incorrect attacks on the Clintons coming from members of the media and members of the Democratic Party. On the flip side I did shed a tear for people like Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones and Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee for never wavering from their support of Senator Clinton. They went against members of their own community and were criticized unmercifully for doing so, so I shed a tear in their honor. Another tear was shed every time I talked to my African-American friends who supported her but were deeply criticized by their family and other members of the community for not voting or supporting Senator Obama. I shed that tear because we all have choices to make and they chose to support who they believed was the best person to lead this country back to greatness.
I shed a tear when Senator and President Clinton were either called or inferred to as racists. I shed that tear because both have worked so hard for the rights of people of color. That tear was shed because she was the only candidate to attend the State of the Black Union, yet she was criticized to doing so. Pundits and people said she, again, was just pandering. I shed another tear because I was proud that she spoke to the gay newspaper in PA while Senator Obama refused their request for an interview. Again, a tear was shed because she called someone who was pandering yet Senator Obama wasn’t called out on pandering to those undecided middle-class workers.
Another tear was shed because people on TV and in the media would call her Hillary or Mrs. Clinton yet refer to Senator Obama as either Barack Obama or Senator Obama, not Barack or Mr. Obama. I shed that tear because I knew people didn’t respect her enough to use either her full name or her title. Also, during a debate in New Hampshire I shed a tear when Senator Obama said Senator Clinton, “nice enough.” I shed that tear because I wondered how someone could promote unity and change and be so unkind at a personal level, when Senator Clinton had not levied personal attacks up to that point. As that tear came down my face I thought of how he would again get a pass but if Senator Clinton had said that she would have been considered “cold” and “callous.” That tear was reminiscent of the one shed when I saw Senator Obama snub Senator Clinton in the halls of Congress during the State of the Union address. I thought how could this man speak of unity and yet treat her so harshly? Is this man I want to be my uniter? That tear lingered because again if she had done the same thing the media and people across this country would see her as sore-loser or bitter candidate.
Finally, I shed a tear when I realized I could not talk to my partner about all of my frustrations with the media and how people have overlooked so much of Senator Obama’s past and weaknesses, because he is a Senator Obama supporter. That tear came again when last week some of my colleagues told me not to be bitter at the outcome while others were condescending in their words and actions toward me. That tear came because all I did was talk politics with them; I never once rubbed anything in their faces. I was just shedding a tear because I knew that they were listening to the media, who were giving Senator Obama a free ride in ways I have never seen before, without doing much research on their candidate or mine. My tear quickly turned to a tear of joy when I informed them I made the right choice and I was not ashamed of my unwavering support of Senator Clinton.
Yes, I shed a lot of tears this primary season, but I cried on Saturday. I cried not because I was upset at the outcome, I cried because I felt for Senator Clinton. I cried because I knew the media had treated her unfairly and that many people only saw the wonderful things about Senator Obama and the perceived or projected pathetic nature of Senator Clinton. I cried also because I know our country lost its chance to have a great passionate and qualified leader sitting in the Oval Office. My crying included tears because I knew her campaign made some huge blunders, but my tears for Senator Clinton were even greater.
I cried these tears because I knew people only heard was they saw on TV or what they read in newspapers or magazines, which was how wonderful Senator Obama was and how sad it was that she was still plugging along. I wonder if these organizations would have called Senator Obama sad if he was ahead in the popular vote and barely behind in the delegate totals? One will never know. Yet through all of these tears I know the best is yet to come for Senator Clinton. I know that she was treated unfairly and that people will look back at this election cycle and wonder why she was treated to badly. I cried those tears Saturday in all she did to bring forth issues that would have helped every group of people in this country, even groups that are hated by other such as the gay and lesbian community. I have never met Senator Clinton, but I wanted her to know I shed many tears for her over the last few months and that I cried a lot as she gave one of the best speeches of her life.
Yes Senator Clinton I proudly shed tears for you and all you have done. I was one of the 18 million who placed a crack in that glass ceiling you tried to hard to bust open. I know that these cracks will give way very soon, and when it does tears all around this country will be shed in your honor.

“This is an open letter to those white women who, despite their proclamations of progressivism, and supposedly because of their commitment to feminism, are threatening to withhold support from Barack Obama in November. You know who you are.
I know that it’s probably a bad time for this. Your disappointment at the electoral defeat of Senator Hillary Clinton is fresh, the sting is new, and the anger that animates many of you–who rightly point out that the media was often sexist in its treatment of the Senator–is raw, pure and justified.
That said, and despite the awkward timing, I need to ask you a few questions, and I hope you will take them in the spirit of solidarity with which they are genuinely intended. But before the questions, a statement if you don’t mind, or indeed, even if (as I suspect), you will mind it quite a bit.
First, for those of you threatening to actually vote for John McCain and to oppose Senator Obama, or to stay home in November and thereby increase the likelihood of McCain winning and Obama losing (despite the fact that the latter’s policy platform is virtually identical to Clinton’s while the former’s clearly is not), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
For those threatening to vote for John McCain or to stay home and increase the odds of his winning (despite the fact that he once called his wife the c-word in public and is a staunch opponent of reproductive freedom and gender equity initiatives, such as comparable worth legislation), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
For those threatening to vote for John McCain or to stay home and help ensure Barack Obama’s defeat, as a way to protest what you call Obama’s sexism (examples of which you seem to have difficulty coming up with), all the while claiming to be standing up for women…
Your whiteness is showing.
When I say your whiteness is showing this is what I mean: You claim that your opposition to Obama is an act of gender solidarity, in that women (and their male allies) need to stand up for women in the face of the sexist mistreatment of Clinton by the press. On this latter point–the one about the importance of standing up to the media for its often venal misogyny–you couldn’t be more correct. As the father of two young girls who will have to contend with the poison of patriarchy all their lives, or at least until such time as that system of oppression is eradicated, I will be the first to join the boycott of, or demonstration on, whatever media outlet you choose to make that point. But on the first part of the above equation–the part where you insist voting against Obama is about gender solidarity–you are, for lack of a better way to put it, completely full of crap. And what’s worse is that at some level I suspect you know it. Voting against Senator Obama is not about gender solidarity. It is an act of white racial bonding, and it is grotesque.
If it were gender solidarity you sought, you would by definition join with your black and brown sisters come November, and do what you know good and well they are going to do, in overwhelming numbers, which is vote for Barack Obama. But no. You are threatening to vote not like other women–you know, the ones who aren’t white like you and most of your friends–but rather, like white men! Needless to say it is high irony, bordering on the outright farcical, to believe that electorally bonding with white men, so as to elect McCain, is a rational strategy for promoting feminism and challenging patriarchy. You are not thinking and acting as women, but as white people. So here’s the first question: What the hell is that about?
And you wonder why women of color have, for so long, thought (by and large) that white so-called feminists were phony as hell? Sister please…
Your threats are not about standing up for women. They are only about standing up for the feelings of white women, and more to the point, the aspirations of one white woman. So don’t kid yourself. If you wanted to make a statement about the importance of supporting a woman, you wouldn’t need to vote for John McCain, or stay home, thereby producing the same likely result–a defeat for Obama. You could always have said you were going to go out and vote for Cynthia McKinney. After all, she is a woman, running with the Green Party, and she’s progressive, and she’s a feminist. But that isn’t your threat is it? No. You’re not threatening to vote for the woman, or even the feminist woman. Rather, you are threatening to vote for the white man, and to reject not only the black man who you feel stole Clinton’s birthright, but even the black woman in the race. And I wonder why? Could it be…?
See, I told you your whiteness was showing.
And now for a third question, and this is the biggie, so please take your time with it: How is it that you have managed to hold your nose all these years, just like a lot of us on the left, and vote for Democrats who we knew were horribly inadequate–Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Dukakis, right on down the uninspiring line–and yet, apparently can’t bring yourself to vote for Barack Obama? A man who, for all of his shortcomings (and there are several, as with all candidates put up by either of the two major corporate parties) is surely more progressive than any of those just mentioned. And how are we to understand that refusal–this sudden line in the proverbial sand–other than as a racist slap at a black man? You will vote for white men year after year after year–and are threatening to vote for another one just to make a point–but can’t bring yourself to vote for a black man, whose political views come much closer to your own, in all likelihood, than do the views of any of the white men you’ve supported before. How, other than as an act of racism, or perhaps as evidence of political insanity, is one to interpret such a thing?
See, black folks would have sucked it up, like they’ve had to do forever, and voted for Clinton had it come down to that. Indeed, they were on board the Hillary train early on, convinced that Obama had no chance to win and hoping for change, any change, from the reactionary agenda that has been so prevalent for so long in this culture. They would have supported the white woman–hell, for many black folks, before Obama showed his mettle they were downright excited to do so–but you won’t support the black man. And yet you have the audacity to insist that it is you who are the most loyal constituency of the Democratic Party, and the one before whom Party leaders should bow down, and whose feet must be kissed?
Your whiteness is showing.
Look, I couldn’t care less about the Party personally. I left the Democrats twenty years ago when they told me that my activism in the Central America solidarity and South African anti-apartheid movements made me a security risk, and that I wouldn’t be able to get clearance to be in some parade with Governor Dukakis. Yeah, seriously. But for you to act as though you are the indispensible voters, the most important, the ones whose views should be pandered to, whose every whim should be the basis for Party policy, is not only absurd, it is also racist in that it, a) ignores and treats as irrelevant the much more loyal constituency of black folks, without whom no Democrat would have won anything in the past twenty years (and indeed the racial gap favoring the Democrats among blacks is about six times larger than the gender gap favoring them among white women, relative to white men); and b) demonstrates the mentality of entitlement and superiority that has been long ingrained in us as white folks–so that we believe we have the right to dictate the terms of political engagement, and to determine the outcome, and to get our way, simply because for so long we have done just that.
But that day is done, whether you like it or not, and you are now left with two, and only two choices, so consider them carefully: the first is to stand now in solidarity with your black brothers and sisters and welcome the new day, and help to push it in a truly progressive and feminist and antiracist direction, while the second is to team up with white men to try and block the new day from dawning. Feel free to choose the latter. But if you do, please don’t insult your own intelligence, or ours, by insisting that you’ve done so as a radical political act. ” –Tim Wise
I don’t understand. If you can have a day to donate to John McCain, why don’t you first have a day to donate to Hillary Clinton? How humiliating that her “supporters” can’t come together and help her take care of this debt. She has to beg Obama. Help Hillary first!
What I find so stupid is this. If Hillary had won the African-American vote would have went to her with no problem. There would be no anti-Hillary sites, no noclinton sites or any other stupid sites out there. It is basicly all or nothing with you people. But the world does not work like that. The time is now to show that the people of America can come together and make a good decision.
How ridiculous is mz.j to state that the African-American vote would have gone to her (Hillary) with no problem? The devisive split started with all the “racist” innuendo about the Clintons. Are you kidding? No Anti-Hillary sites! It would have been much worse.
Obama lost my vote when he decided to smear Bill Clinton, who did more for this country than any of the idiots backing Obama. If Oprah (the new Scientology) and his wife hadn’t shoved Obama, I’m pretty sure he’d still be doing nothing in the Senate.
For the first time in my life, I will not vote for a Democrat for President.
The “good decision”, mz.j, would have been to nominate a qualified candidate…Hillary Clinton.
BILL CLINTON SAYS KISS MY ASS —
Dear Bloggers how would you act if someone called you a racist? Get a clue man. Clinton saved this country in the 1990’s. Our country is in the pits and you want to belittle this guy? He still is the BEST president we ever had. Stop drinking the OBAMA cool-aid. The Obama campaign called this great and former president a racist. That is unbelievable!!!
Hillary supporter, woman voting NO to Obama cult club.
I can understand the freak out. I wouldn’t have voted for Hillary with a gun to my head, still wouldn’t. Not all of us on the + side of 50 are in love with Clinton. I would LOVE to see a female Prez. in my lifetime. But that doesn’t mean just anyone. I didn’t get the chance to vote for Shirley Chisholm, was three years too young in ‘72. But I would have voted for her in the blink of an eye. There are a number of women I believe would make a great Prez. and thanks to Emily’s List more and more women are getting into the races that lead to the presidency. I want a woman president. But I refuse to settle for a woman who would be a bad president.
My Whiteness is showing??
How about the fact that 95% of blacks are supporting Obama because of his racial identification. Isn’t their “blackness showing?”
I am not, nor have I ever been, a democrat, though I have often voted democratic. I am an independent. I am a conservative liberal or a liberal conservative. I do not like extreme candidates on either side. I not believe they are good for my country. I have voted democratic in the last few elections because of the particular candidates.
I know that to get anything done, both parties need to work together. Hillary has done this, McCain has done this. Obama has not. He is a candidate of extremes - currently our most liberal senator. I am a proud Hilary supporter and have donated to her campaign and to help her retire her debt. My future donations will go to McCain.
I am a proud veteran. I will be voting for McCain, not because Hillary was disrespected (that was the media), but because I believe he is the better candidate, the better choice for out country. I am old enough to know that “Change” is not always good. I have been around long enough to spot hypocrisy and to dislike and distrust it. I believe that McCain has the experience and the judgment needed to lead this country. McCain is a maverick. He has gone against his party on many important issues, to include torture and the environment. Obama is the most liberal senator currently in office. Worse, he is so good at the political game, at speeches to large crowds (thought not at thinking on his feet in a debate) that people believe what he says even when he is caught in a yet another lie.
Obama is going to pull us out of the war? He is already singing a different tune on that theme and his supporters were telling the Brits he wasn’t serious early on in the campaign. I was against the war from the beginning and living in Germany with the U.S. Army. The sentiment for the war in this country was so strong I was told I had “become Europeanized”and should just stay in Europe. Yet I know that we are there now and need to clean up the mess we made (mostly through political means) before we leave. We can’t undo what we already did, but we can avoid making it worse.
Obama is against NAFTA? His supporters told the Canadians not to worry, that was just rhetoric to get elected.
Obama is for campaign reform and against “buying” an election? - until he discovered how much money he could raise for his campaign.
Obama did this because he was worried about Swift Boaters (527 orgs)? The only one in sight is MoveOn.org - an Obama supporter.
Obama is against dirty politics? He started out in Chicago politics, not by birth but by choice - where he used every trick in the book and invented some to ensure that he was the only democrat on the ticket - talk to the former incumbent for his Illinois Senate seat about how she suddenly found her (African-American) self not on the ticket. There has been no change. He hasn’t changed his stripes. He blocked revotes in Michigan and Florida and, though it made no practical difference, “stole” four additional votes from Hillary in Michigan - after they already acknowledged that not all the uncommitted voted for Obama - some were clearly for Edwards or others still active in the campaign? Why bother? Out of the same drive that led him to get every other democrat kicked off the ballot in Illinois.
Gun control? Can anyone figure out his current position on the proliferation of firearms? His first comment on the Supreme Court decision? Something to the effect that is made things clear for the lower courts.
I know many African Americans that support Obama because they want to believe he is one of them. He was raised white, he has little idea of what they went through.
I know many whites that support Obama is the false belief he will heal the country. They do not feel threatened by a mixed race man raised by his white mother and white grandparents. I wish I could believe that he will heal the country. However, he has been caught in too many lies on too many themes. I am not ready to hand over the reigns of this country to a total unknown. He could well be another Jimmy Carter and cause more harm than good with good intentions and little know how.
There are many more examples, but this is long enough. Perhaps when we have more of a track record, I will begin to believe in Obama. For know, what I know of him leads me to distrust him. Did he agree with his 20 year pastor? Who can know? However that pastor and close friend believed the Obama only rejected him (Wright) to get elected, that Obama did think and believe like him (Wright). The Reverend Jeremiah Wright knows Obama better than I could ever know him.
I believe that those of us in this website should stop griping and start trying to make a positive statement. If we believe in particular causes of positions, lets bombard both candidates with our position. Both candidates are after our vote. Let’s use this fact to get some concessions on issues of interest to us as a group. The race is on. Will we sit on the sidelines?
I left the “corporate” Democratic party a long time ago. In many ways it does not matter who becomes President. Obama will obviously be an improvement over what we have now simply because he is intelligent and rational, where Mr. McCain is a militaristic neo-con tethered to the past. But wake up. One or two more Alitos on the Supreme Court will solidify this nation into corporate fascism and will undo all the advances for women and minorities over the last 50 years. Voting McCain (or even staying home) is slitting your own throat.
GeraldineHenrietta,
The reason that Obama is helping Hillary retire her campaign debt is because he wants the backing of her BIG political contributors. They have already maxed out what they can give Hillary, but they can give to Obama. (Which I hope they don’t, not after he refused FISA funds). He is not being magnanimous, he is being Obama, only doing what;s good for him, looking out for number one.
I saw Nader on ABC today; he is looking mighty good. For those of you who can’t vote for McCain, Nader needs volunteers to get signatures in 45 states by August. Check out his website-

His running mate is a former San Francisco City Council President- Matt Gonzalez, who went against the Palozi party machine and won! He has also been a member of the Green Party and Asst District Attorney in San Francisco. Check it out! Maybe we can do so good for democracy while we’re waiting on the convention.
ACTION ALERT! Members of the Democratic Leadership Council seem ready to embrace Obama! EVERYONE NEEDS TO Contact the DLC and let them know this is an unwise move!
Lets Flood there phone and email! Let them know we will not support this endorsement and in fact count them as abandoning the Democratic process!

I have been supporting the dem party for 8 years but this year I will vote for Mccain. This is due to the ignorance and scandal involved in this primary season. For the record, I’m an EDUCATED, upper class white female. Hillary would have made this country a beautiful place to be but now we have to choose between the lesser of the two evils and that is clearly John Mccain.
If youare a Democrat and vote for McCain then youhave a holein your head. You rather vote for a man who you have almost NOTHING in common with who most assuradrly will appoint another Justice ala Scalia on the Bench. Saddle us with ANOTHER 4 years of Bush because Hilllary lost!?!?? Do you not see Hillary has joined forces with Obama??? Look if you are a Democrat and do vote for McCain please do us all a favor and switch party affiliation. Thank you.
Jamie are you kidding me?? The lesser of two evils? You wantto vote for a man who want to repeals a woman’s right to choose? A man who wants to keep us in Iraq for a 100 years? A man who will continue the Bush ecnomic policy? A man who wants to attack Iran? You mean to tell me that man is the lesser of two evils??? Jamie do us all a favor and become a Republican cause that what you really are.
Obama can’t be trusted. His words and promises change according to what his managers know the voters want, and his words & promises mean nothing. Rather than listening to his words, we need to examine what the facts show us about the true Obama:
The facts show that he is very dangerous to America . A man is known by the company he keeps, and birds of a feather do flock together. Barack Obama has too many long-standing and close ties to to dangerous anti-Americans—e.g., Louis Faraquan, el-slsl, and pastors Wright and Pfleger–for any sensible person to trust him with our future; the Democratic party might just as well nominate Faraquan, el-slsl, or Wright.
John McCain is much experienced and more importantly, has risked his life for America many times and will assuredly do whatever he believes best for this country he loves. Conversely, Obama not only has no valid qualification for presidency but, all evidence proves he & his wife have no liking for America or most Americans and what he could do as president is disturbing and fear-provoking. We cannot trust our future to a man with his dangerous mindset, friendships & associations, philosophy and beliefs. This would be true even if Hillary Clinton, who is supremely qualified, had never entered the presidential race. Obama is not qualified and his philosophy, beliefs, associates, etc., all make him a danger to us and to America. If Obama is nominated, John McCain is clearly the better choice as president.
Although Clinton was far outspent by Obama, she nevertheless won the popular vote & set a record by so doing. What Obama did was to buy the DNC. He spent millions on a corrupt & greedy DNC. In return the DNC, led by Howard Dean, tried repeatedly to force Clinton out and “stack the deck” in Obama’s favor, even going so far as to disallow Florida and Michigan votes (where Clinton won) under the pretext that those states broke DNC rules but not penalizing Iowa, New Hampshire & South Carolina–states in which Obama won the caucus-style primaries–for breaking the same rules. The DNC was bought and paid for by Obama; and clearly this corrupt DNC needs to be cleaned out, starting with Howard Dean.

PumaGirl: I am glad you started this site. Why,however, do you allow these goofball cultists Obama people to take up your space? Have you not already learned that they simply can’t think? You need to moderate them off the site. Unity, (Uniformity) sites and the entire media provide a forum for these pathetic brainwashed souls. Why should you?
Fellow Democrats,
You need only consider the Supreme Court to realize that a McCain presidency would be disastrous—and I use that term advisedly. The justices most likely to be replaced in the next President’s term are two of the remaining four so-called liberals on the court. By replacing them with two Scalia-Roberts types (as he has proclaimed he would do), McCain could solidify conservative domination of the court and lock it in for decades. Seriously, think about it.
As just one example, among the critical issues hanging in the balance is separation of church and state. Some of the most critical decisions in recent years maintaining that separation have been 5-4. Put differently, with the Court’s current composition, we’re only one vote away from kissing separation of church and state, at least as we’ve known it, goodbye. I, for one, say that alone is far too great a risk to warrant throwing the election to the Republicans in order to reprimand the DNC for perceived wrongs.
When one considers too that the policy views of Obama and Clinton are largely congruent and quite different from those of McCain, the reasons for Clinton supporters to vote for Obama are obvious and overwhelming. Sure, I don’t agree with every position he takes. Indeed, we’re currently seeing both candidates move toward the center as typically happens at this stage of the race, each with the aim of holding on to those in the “base” (even though risking irritating and disappointing them somewhat) while appealing to those in the middle. All in all, though after I consider their respective stands on the main issues (the wars, the economy, environment, health care, etc.), I (and Hillary BTW) largely agree with Obama and seriously disagree with McCain on every one. On the issues, for this Democrat, it’s a no brainer.
As for Obama’s character, when I take his measure, I see someone who generally shares my values and views, genuinely cares about our people and country, recognizes the real problems, and approaches the solutions much as I do. He’s hardly perfect, but he’s pretty damn good and vastly superior to the scary alternative.
I urge you to step back, consider more than just perceived wrongs in the nomination process, and weigh all—all—the consequences when choosing what to do with your vote in the general election.
PS This Obama supporter donated $500 to Clinton.

Mr Scanner,Or Scrapper Or Whatever The Hell Your Name Is,You Have A Hole In Your Head To Support A Do Nothing,Done Nothing,Will Never Do Anything That Would Benefit This Country Cult Leader Mr Obama,And Who The Hell Cares Who McCain Appoints To The Supreme Court They All Will Still Send Your Ass To Jail,What! You Think Just Because We Elect A Asshole Like Hussein That That Will Keep Your Ass Out Of The Penitentiary,Think Again.
BTW You Vote For Whomever You Chose And We Senator Clinton Supporters Will Vote For The Candidate We Want,I Mean If That’s Alright With You,It Seems We Need To Inform You Of Our Decision To Vote The Way We Want.
Hi there,
That\’s the only reason why people don\’t talk about it.
Reeves,
Your racism is showing.
If you have a problem with white women voting for whomever they choose to vote for, keep it to yourself.
I do not owe either the Democratic party or Barack Obama my vote. I owe no one my vote, which is something so many Obama supporters don’t seem to understand, because they fully expect us to just “fall in line” when the time comes.
Your contempt for women is showing.
You claim to be so sympathetic yet mar that sympathy with venal insults that hark back to the days…oh what am I thinking, the days of insulting women just because they’re women never left. Spirit of solidarity? Whose solidarity? And why do you keep making claims for millions of women about why we are making the choices we do? For instance, you said, “You claim that your opposition to Obama is an act of gender solidarity” I’m sorry, when did I say that? To whom? Maybe someone, somewhere did, but it wasn’t me, so I would really appreciate it if you would stop putting words in my mouth. Obama is a fool and a hypocrite, who, in the very short time he’s been possessed of (not yet officially, but undeniably) the Democratic nomination, has already backtracked on many things. And even if it were all about “gender solidarity”, all I can say to you on that issue is-suck it up. Deal with it. The same way we’ve been dealing with crap for decades, centuries.
Do you see what you’ve done throughout your tirade? You’ve lumped us all in one group; assigned each and every one of us the same motivations. How dare you. We are not individuals in your eyes, just a group of angry women who have the potential to do something you don’t like and that makes you angry.
Deal with it.
Do not call my decision to vote or not vote a threat; it’s a decision, my decision.
Did Clinton have a sense of entitlement? I don’t know. Does the Democratic party have a sense of entitlement when it insists Clinton supporters need to fall into line behind their candidate, or states, repeatedly, that they fully expect them to do so? Apparently.
You want to know why I can’t bring myself to vote for Obama when I’ve voted for other inadequates all these years? Because these last months have beaten me down. I’ve watched news commentators and Clinton haters repeatedly insult Clinton in purely gender-related terms, over and over again and the outrage that should have sprung up never materialized. Lots of jokes did. But never outrage. Maybe if that outrage had materialized I would give enough of a crap to vote Democrat come Nov. But there was no outrage. Except, apparently, in your viewpoint, from the white women who are now, in your viewpoint, taking their revenge by daring to decide how they will use their vote.
Come November, I may stay home. I may write in Ralph Nader. Your vile exhortations and accusations will not affect that decision either way.
treats as irrelevant the much more loyal constituency of black folks, without whom no Democrat would have won anything in the past twenty years (and indeed the racial gap favoring the Democrats among blacks is about six times larger than the gender gap favoring them among white women, relative to white men); and b) demonstrates the mentality of entitlement and superiority that has been long ingrained in us as white folks–so that we believe we have the right to dictate the terms of political engagement, and to determine the outcome, and to get our way, simply because for so long we have done just that.
Please visit this link to think about what McCain might do for women, via appointing more conservatives to the Supreme Court:
http://www.truthout.org/article/details-pre-roe-bad-old-days
It’s written by a doctor who remembers practicing when abortions were illegal for everyone. I intend to teach my daughter to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, but unfortunately girls and women do sometimes have unwanted pregnancies (condoms can fail, many things can happen…). I do not want her to be stuck dying in a back alley.
That was how it was, and it could be that way again.
Not to mention many other issues that McCain may affect with the Supreme Court, for just one reason to think long and hard before voting for McCain. Please!
All this whining by the BO cultist about what McCain would do, who he would appoint to the courts, etc. Keep one thing in mind - anything he does will have to get through a democratically controlled Senate. This would force McCain to do the one thing Obama would not have to do:
COMPROMISE!
He would have to compromise constantly to get anything done. This would be a very good thing for all of us. It allows us to keep the nutcases in both parties in check. I’ve never feared our government the way I did when W came into office with a republican controlled House and Senate (and obviously a republican controlled Supreme Court). It was literally a republican dictatorship. I’m not sure a democratic dictatorship would be any better.
GO McCAIN 2008!!
Does anyone see anything wrong with that, or is it just me?
I sent this letter to a number of SD’s and delegates who support Senator Clinton, and who don’t.
I got a number of responses like: “I’m” the one spreading the “lies”—I told them “no”, it’s the country telling the truth, not “me”
Here’s the letter, tell me what you think:Dear Delegate:
It has come to our country’s attention that the DNC, the Barack OBama campaign, and Senator Obama himself, have committed a number of immoral, improper, and in some cases “illegal” activities during the democratic primaries.
In response to these facts and findings of these activities, a number of powerful grass root organizations have grown in support and numbers, with the idea that:
“Democracy died on May 31, 2008”.
That’s the day our children will read about in their history books, the day our fellow Americans from Florida and Michigan were ignored, when they cast their vote.
You all know the story.
We are a country built on the “will of the people”, “no taxation without representation”, under “one nation and God”, not the manipulating, corrupt ideas and dealings of the DNC—They are not our superiors, they are our EMPLOYEES.
Being a representative as “one” of the 18 million people who voted for the Most Qualified, the most Experienced, and the more honest candidate, I need to write this letter.
WHAT HAPPENED?
How in good conscience can you all sit back knowing this COUNTRY is screaming for INTEGRITY, TRUST, EXPERIENCE in a President., An individual, who LOVES THIS COUNTRY and the people who support it.
How in good conscience can you support an individual that DID NOT win, either in the popular vote, or with the delegate Vote.
I implore you, consider the consequences of allowing Barack Obama, & the corrupt leadership of the DNC to seat and nominate an individual that half this country CANNOT tolerate, and won’t vote for in November.
Senator Clinton won this nomination. She belongs in the general election. You don’t have to “like” her, just follow your conscience, for the good of our Nation, our Beautiful America, for the people who live loving their country, For the Good of the World.
At the Denver Convention: At the Roll Call: Select the right candidate. Be a representative of our country, without any of the self interest we all know and understand corrupts our lives.
Elect the choice of the “people”, and you will have done your job,——— and a good job.
PS At least John McCain holds the character of a President, if in fact; we’re stuck without our person of “CHOICE”.
central carolina technical collegeWelcome To PUMA Party
Hillary’s ass is too fat for one to take seriously her presidential aspirations. Sadly, now that Merv Griffin has passed, employment as a game show host is no longer possible.
Thanks for PUMA. Couldn’t have said it better myself. The teenie boppers and far-left annointed Obama, but we thinkers are voting for Hillary, no matter what.
See you (PUMA founder) on FOX! Again, thanks.
We eagerly await your next appearance.
Mina Hassman
It’s brainless people like you who are responsible for Bush being President. It’s obvious you haven’t had an original thought since your brain got taken over by the right-wing talk-show hosts. You deserve to have a bad president but the rest of us don’t. We’re still using our brains and voting for Hillary.
I have to agree with most of the bloggers here. It is absurd to have been a Hillary Clinton supporter and now turn to McCain. He stands for more of the same. I suspect this is a McCain-supported site.
But I do relate to the distrust of Obama. He has recently really disappointed many of his supporters with his new flip-flops on the FISA, gun control, death penalty, campaign financing, etc.
I think the actions planned for the Democratic convention and the new campaign to lobby the Democratic superdelegates to change their votes to Hillary are worthy of our interest and support.
I saw Will Power on Fox this evening and became inspired again. I am part of the 30% of Hillary supporters who will never vote for Obama. He is the worst most deceitful politician I have ever heard. And I am in my 60’s. The DNC should be ashamed to call him a candidate for their party. I have been a Democrat my whole life, but this year I am disgraced to say I am.
Thank you all for the wonderful web sites you have given me to visit. I spent so much time during the primaries writing to all the commentators of all the news shows. I wrote to Richardson, Edwards and the DNC concerning their decisions as they came. I have been approached even by Al Gore by email to contribute to his programs. I gave everyone a piece of my mind instead.
I want to say I have contributed to the Hillary cup tonight. I contributed to her during the campaign but didn’t want to do so any more because I was afraid the money would go to Obama.
Could someone please keep me informed as to the progress of Hillary’s campaign and the progress of those going to the convention in Aug.?
Thank you again, PUMA and justsaynodeal,
Sammy
I’m not voting McCain, I’m writing in Hillary. I am completely at peace with my choice.
I just saw a news bulletin with one of those stupid poll results showing Obama ahead. The media thinks it can manipulate people into voting for him. Every time I see one of those, I just get more pissed off and I can’t wait until Nov. 4 when the DNC won’t know what hit them!!!!
The reason Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama is because they are embarrassed of him, his life, his unfair tactics and his beliefs. And they still don’t know all about him.
1. They don’t want a candidate that has been in a twenty year relationship with Reverend Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ.
2. They don’t’ want a candidate that has a twenty year relationship with Father Pflaeger as his compass in life
3. They don’t want a candidate that went to a church that supports Louis Farrakhan, an anti Semitic racist.
4. They don’t want to defend Black Liberation theology.
5. They don’t want a candidate that lies about his relationship with Tony Rezko, the Syrian Criminal that sold his property to Obama and supported his campaign.
6. They don’t want a candidate that could work with a domestic terrorist, William Ayers.
7. They don’t want a candidate that Hamas supports.
8. They don’t want a candidate that Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam support
9. They don’t want a candidate that has a wife that has just now realized she was proud of our country.
10. They don’t want a candidate that denies Florida and Michigan their voices
11. They don’t want a candidate that mentions 57 states in his speeches. 50 states in the USA and 57 states in the Nation of Islam (IOC website)
12. They don’t want a candidate that fights unfair and steals Michigan delegate votes from his opponent.
13. They don’t want a candidate that feels sorry to leave a church that is anti American and that preaches hatred and racial views that are cruel and nasty.
14. They don’t want a candidate that is inexperienced.
15. They don’t want a candidate that considers it a loss to not to be able to attend his anti American, racist Church.
16. They don’t want a candidate that has a “non practicing” Muslim father, but avoids the entire discussion of his father.
17. They don’t’ want a candidate that won’t debate
18. They don’t’ want a candidate that misleads the youth with an ‘Obama girl and her behind in their face”
19. They don’t want a candidate that says he’s an African American and missed the MLK Remembrance Day and the Louisiana Black Caucus meeting
20. They don’t want a candidate that has done nothing for humanity except talk about it.
21. They don’t’ want a candidate that has poor judgment.
22. They don’t’ want a candidate named; Barack Hussein Obama
23. He scares them to death.
24. He is embarrassing.
25. He is unelectable.
I have been a member of puma almost the day it was founded. I’m just now getting around to reading the blogs here… Its funny how so many can be married to a party (DEM) , but when your say “till death do we part “, doesn’t work. We have to think about the country ( the kids ). I can’t let my kids think i would back a man that is a rascist. Nobama can’t become the leader of our kids…I didn’t really like him from the beginning…but when Rev Wright came out I was appalled…….we are not stupid…there was no way he didn’t know what was going on in that church. And i know he believes the same way. Body language says sooooooo many things….if you will notice he has his NOSE in the air most of the time ( i know you can figure out what that means ). Can’t vote for a man that thinks he is better than me. And i clinge to God…not my religion.
I am writing on behalf of my community to inform you of how angry we are about the primary process this year.
As a woman, a Democrat and a firm supporter of Democracy, this has been the worst media coverage of a primary election ever.
Senator Clinton was mocked daily and the world watched.
I have never seen such poor and biased reporting by media in my entire life.. 20 million Clinton supporters have had it with the media and injustice of this whole primary nominating system.
This was not reporting, it was “Clinton” bashing. I felt like I was hearing headlines from the “Enquirer” tabloid newspaper.
It was daily and all day long. News networks followed each other down a lane of inaccurate reporting and vicious attacks against the entire Clinton family.
The coverage was mostly sexist with rude and nasty overtones. This coverage misrepresented Senator Clinton and undoubtedly swayed the public into a dislike of our former first lady.
For the first in my life, I am completely embarrassed of our country’s reporting tactics and the unfair judgment of the Democratic Party towards a woman, our First Lady.
I also cannot understand how Obama could not be embarrassed of himself.
How dare Senator Obama not apologize to Senator Clinton for the cruel remarks screamed in pews about whites, Senator Clinton and President Clinton.
Instead of apologizing Obama had regrets about having to distance himself from his church and his low life buddies and mentors, Reverend Wright and Father Pflaeger.
This is the first time in my life, along with my entire community, that I will be voting for a Republican or as an Independent.
Senator Clinton does not need Obama. Obama needs Clinton.
I pray that she will not accept a VP role if he offered the position. Obama is a complete embarrassment to this country as a potential candidate for the President of the United States.
I would hope that the DNC would wake up to the abuse that Senator Clinton endured from the media.
This has been an unfair primary and Clinton supporters and most of Americans are well aware of all of it.
REEVES,
YOUR hateful RACISM is showing!! Threatening those who differ in opinion is what exactly?
The fact that you call the Senator Clinton’s supporters WHITE WOMEN show your ignorance and racist attitude. Are you saying that no blacks are supporting Hillary , oh thats right ,most were threatened or blackmailed to support OB or like Jesse Jackson thrown by the wayside,if he hadn;’t been fighting for civil rights some may not have had the opportunities or help that he fought for.You don’t have a right to call anyone names
do bullies like you and abuses realise we have our right ot make up our own minds and don’t support cult followings.
You Obabots are really out of line. Your candidate is just like all the rest out for himself but a little more frightening as he has no experience. Please read the excellent article in the NewYorker, “Making It”, by Ryan Lizza. For a candidate that states he a “new politician” he uses the same tactics- he’s not new, just younger with the same game plan. Sorry not this year. No deal.

ABSOLUTE PROOF OF A FIXED PRIMARY ELECTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Important new development uncovered by a Hillary Loyalist Now For McCain.
In early February Don went on record describing the Democratic Party process and the way the superdelegates roles should be played out. Now he writes a letter demanding we back Obama.
Read the whole story and watch the video you will become all the more determined to PUMATIZE the NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/absoluteproofofafixedprimaryelection.aspx
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
THE REAL OBAMA
Today what was formally known as the Rezko Watch now called The Real Barrack Obama posted what very few MSM reporters are even aware of. It is important so please understand who Obama really is as a person. Who he associates with and who he knows will make all the difference in the world for us Americans. Obama right under the eyes and noses of the reporters has had contact with a wanted man on his big Iraq tour!!!!!!!
read it for yourself…..
http://hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/therealobama.aspx
Go ahead, insult the Hillary voters more. That’ll SURELY change their minds!
It is entirely reasonable to say “McCain is closer to Hillary on issues I consider important than Obama”. But doing so requires that you think that issues are more important than a Democrat label or Republican label. Are you first and foremost an American? Or Republican/Democrat? Is party affiliation the MOST IMPORTANT THING, or is what’s good for the country the most important thing? Are you electing a president, or a “ruling regime” designed to punish those who voted for the other candidate? (Hey, I know, nominate Mugabe! He knows just how to treat political opposition, and he’s black too! And experienced!)
Clinton and McCain have known each other for years. Not just being in the same Senate, but closely working together on specific issues… much moreso than McCain and Obama, or Clinton and Obama. It is reasonable to assume that this working relationship has, in fact, moderated some of their stances towards specific issues to a common center. It is entirely possible that Clinton’s policies on SOME issues align better with McCain than Obama.
…no, none of that is possible, as it requires -THOUGHT-. Too hard. Go right ahead, insult Hillary supporters more, that’s easy and satisfies the schoolyard-grade clique urge. It’ll work! Keep at it!
Note to Xkrat: Enough with the PUMization, we get it, you’re bored.
I find it interesting that you “PUMAs” think that if a democrat votes for Obama that they are an Obamabot. If Hillary were the nominee, you wouldn’t likely be so quick to call everyone Hillbots I’m sure. It seems ridiculous that you would so quickly support the Republican party, just because your pick didn’t get the nomination.
True I voted for Obama. If Hill would have taken the nomination, i would absolutely focus putting my support behind her, because to me the Democratic values mean more to me than being a whiny baby that my nominee didn’t win. Every candidate does have a different skill set, no question. At the end of the day I don’t want to wait around for another 4 years to see which Democrat will step up for the election in 2012, so just giving McCain your vote is cowardly. If you believe in what he stands for over what Obama stands then vote for him, Democrat or not.
Stop complaining because you didn’t get your way. If you don’t want to be a Democrat, don’t. Register yourself as a Republican or better yet, just be an Independent and then you don’t have to have any opinion.
woodbury you are so shallow to suggest that its only about the nomination. the support we do not give obama is due to his policies or lack of; that were taken from better politicians than he and his speaches that are copied from greater men than he like, JFK & Reagan; he stands for nothing he is just a shell of a man filling himself with stolen material; he is a liar , a flip-op, a thief he stole the MI&FL votes he didnt earn, he is unpatriotic he speaks against the US while overseas he should be arrested for treason he is a fony he didnt want to visit the troops overseas there were no camera; and obama is arrogant, presumtuous and an ellitist! the man has no substance and the bit he might have is fony and a crooket!
and yes i am a democrat-but i will not vote for obama!
with his lack of experience the word that comes to mind for our Great Nation with him as leader is “annihilation” there is to much at stake! AMERICA WAKE UP B4 ITS TO LATE!
Change said Oabama - what policy change?????
1.On. Iran - same as Bush
2. Jerusalem - same as Bush
3. Afghanistan - same as Bush.
4. Oil - same as Bush
5,Economic woes - nothing different to offer
6.Relations with Europe - on your knees!
7.Religion - hush up.
The only change he wants is the Iraq time table and it seems the ranking generals fear another Vietnam type retreat and an ensuing tribal massacre.
Change - he´s just another politician!!!

I am sick of people whining about Iraq. We are there, and we are making a difference. Our soldiers and Marines BELIEVE in what they are fighting for. The wimpy anti-war people sitting at home in their nice homes need to quit complaining and let our military do its job. If you haven’t served your country, you have no right to voice your opinion. Ask the soldiers and Marines who have been there and fought… they can’t wait to go back and finish the job they started.
I am also sick of the whole African-American thing. Unless you were born in Africa you aren’t African. There is no hyphenating your American status. I am not a German-Irish-American. I was born here, I am 100% American. If you were born here too, all you are is American. The longer black Americans insist on using African- as a prefix, the longer the race issue will last.
And one more thing… Obama isn’t our first African-American or black candidate… he’s our first half-white candidate. UGH!
http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/
^ Please read above and note how McCain doesn’t even list Women’s Rights as one of his issues. Have fun with a president who values “Natural Heritage” as an issue more than any women’s rights.
Found your blog on yahoo - thanks for the article but i still don’t get it.
A born pathalogical liar. The snipers in Bosnia - caught in a big fat lie. Those who tried to help spin it for her were big liars as well
Hillary exaggerated her experience in foreign affairs. Clearly she had NOTHING to do with the irish peace process except have some tea
If Hillary was to get elected you would diddle yourself into a sexual frenzy. GET A LIFE !!!!!
You are all racists. Admit it, you hate men and have a subliminal predicuce against afroamericans, wether you now it or not !
ps. need a spell checker for this entry form.
I am VERY concerned that Oboma will NOT t be an activist on woman rights. WHO IS LOOKING OUT FOR US ???

newspaper headlines about record numbers of young votersWelcome To PUMA Party
but hillary is campaigning for for obama.
she wants you to vote for obama.
or is she lying about that?
This must be a joke, right?
You would vote for the candidate who disagrees most with Senator Clinton, as a response to not being able to vote for her principles and policies?
This smacks of a GOP plot. Or people so cut off from society that they’ll create an illogical stance just to feel community.
Plus, your name is too similar to Cougars. That won’t help.
I KNOW THESE OBAMANATES AREN’T ON THIS BLOG BEGGING US NOT TO VOTE MCCAIN !!!! HONEY YOU ALL ARE JUST WASTING YOUR BREATH !! WE DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT’S AT STAKE IN THIS ELECTION !!! WE ARE NOT !! THIS MESSAGE IS FOR THE PRESIDENT OF PUMA MR.BROWN;
Mr. Brown on the PUMA web-site I linked to http://www.walkamileinourshoes.org and found a super delegate list; i perceeded to call the SD in my state and talked to Carolyn Warner of AZ she stated that she could not vote for Hillary because the DNC-Dean, Pelosi & Reid have a DIRECTIVE for all SD to vote Obama! or face serious political repercussions.
Isnt that against the Constitutional Civll Right to Vote you consciou? and isnt that voter fraud? we are not in Zimbabwe and the DNC isnt Thabo Mbki how can this happen in AMERICA?
Please, please, please do not let us get stuck with a neanderthal like McCain (Bush III) for at least four more years. I voted for Hilary too, but unfortunately it’s done now and to say McCain is the better choice than Obama is just incomprehensible. Get ready to lose reproductive rights and lose more sons and daughters to the war in Iraq and any other unnecessary military actions it suddenly occurs to McCain to pursue, if you’re willing to go this route. And by keeping this on an emotional (i.e., she lost so I’m picking up my toys and going home–and I’m never coming back!!) level, unfortunately, you are giving fuel to the Repugs’ already flamin’ fire–the Evangelicals want to keep us in the kitchen because we’re so “irrational” and “emotional.”
Do you really want a candidate who calls his own wife (well, the second one, the one whom he started messing around with while his first was recovering from a serious accident) a “c**t” IN PUBLIC, in response to just the same kind of teasing we all do with our husbands/girlfriends/friends when we feel safe to do so?!
Pleeeeeeease don’t send us any further back into the dark ages. Many of the advances we made thanks to feminism have been attacked or destroyed already with the Repubs in office.
Lastly, Hilary is a strong, smart Democratic woman (why we all like her!) and she can and will get through this. Above everything, she is politically savvy (again, why we like her), and SHE wants us to work with the party. If it gets ripped apart and we get four more years of Bushwhackery, who do you think will get the blame?
Those irrational, emotional women. Again.
Once again, it’ll be “”Blame Hilary. Now get back into the kitchen, woman, make me some cookies and by God, have as many babies as I SAY you ought to. Be a good little incubator for the state.”
Please think it over for the good of the country and for Hilary, too. She has broken so much ground. Is this what you want her legacy to be?
Let’s urge Hillary to run as an Independant - the DNC has turned their backs on us and they even plan to muzzle us on the convention floor with goon squads! Talk about terrorism - thats the ultimate insult - to use bullying tactics to shut us up!!!!
Barack Obama is WAY too scary to be President!!!

Looks and sounds like a tough read. If you’re not happy with where your tax dollars go, and even unhappier with Supreme Court Rulings based on “social consensus” instead of the law, a necessary one!

It’s a bit confusing but anyway I’ve finally made it.
Well, Hillary hasn’t made it to Dem candidate despite having the biggest ass. I’m very surprised at that. We’ll see what the future holds for her and Bill, though I’m not very hopeful.
Someone said the Hillary has a cock. I was shocked by this but I don’t know if this is true. I hope it’s just a horrible rumor but I don’t know.
I hvae supported Hillary for years and if now I see she has a cock i’ll be very annoyed . Who can say becos all politicians are liars.
Well, did she have one , can someone say? I’m waitng for a reply.
Well Hillary it looks like you got caught with your panties down.
I think you need to check what Bill’s up to: see where his dick is.
Best wishes

The posters on this site deserve gold medals for both the breadth and the depth of their ignorance, foolishness, vapidity and mean spiritedness.
Tear up your voter registration cards folks, you are all too stupid to vote.
I guess I am being too inclusive. My apologies to the 2-3% of you who display some common sense.
First of all, Reeves, BRAVO! And Charlotte, I agree wholeheartedly but have lost faith that any rational appeal will help. I don’t think we’re dealing with anything rational here.
As a 40 year-old white woman, I’ve been extremely ashamed of the actions and attitudes of many of my fellow women as shown in the ignorance displayed in Melissa’s comment below:
I KNOW THESE OBAMANATES AREN’T ON THIS BLOG BEGGING US NOT TO VOTE MCCAIN !!!! HONEY YOU ALL ARE JUST WASTING YOUR BREATH !! WE DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT’S AT STAKE IN THIS ELECTION !!! WE ARE NOT !! I SAY NOT !! VOTING FOR BLACK OBAMA !!!! PERIOD !! YOU ALL ARE ACTING REAL NERVOUS ! WELL YOU SHOULD BE !! CHECK BACK WITH PUMA NOV.5 AFTER MIDNIGHT !! SO WE CAN SAY “NAH NAH NA NA HEY HEY GOOD BYE” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t understand the feeling of entitlement that leads to the hatred and self-destructiveness that’s shown in many of the comments on this site and I haven’t been able to think of any alternate explanation.
It boggles my mind that so many women seem to be willing to give up so many of the rights that they have fought so hard for by voting for a man who is blatantly against many of their own self-interests. “We don’t give a damn what’s at stake in this election!” Obviously…

OK…Maybe you have found enough faults with Senator Obama not to vote for him. Got it. My question is why vote for McCain? Can anyone on this blog give me at least 2 policy stances of his that you agree with? For the feminists in the crowd, do you think that he will promote the full spectrum of women’s rights? I just don’t get the jump from opposition to Obama to support for McCain.
Once again my vote has been stolen from me in the state of Florida. What’s so tough to accept is that this time my own party screwed me. First my vote was not counted because the leaders of the Democratic Party moved the primary dates and the delegates would not be counted. Then the DNC gives them half-votes. And days before the DNC Convention they give the delegates from Florida full-votes! After 25 years of being a registered Democrat I will be glad to get my new voters registration card listing me as an “Indepentant”.

Good luck.
We’ve missed a wonderful chance.
We can survive McCain, especially with a Democratic congress.
I refuse to embarrass myself by voting for a wonderful speaker with no record of achievement whatever, whose main supporters are whining, energetic lint-heads chanting “change.”
Impressive to see people standing up against being manipulated and bullied into supporting a candidate that they don’t want to stand behind…those people to run the Democrat party, think that they are so much more intelligent than you are. Prove them wrong.
No principled or rationale person could honestly be a Hillary Supporter and a true Democrat and even threaten to vote for John McCain. Do you have no respect or regard for Hillary who has pleaded with you to stand up for our party’s ideals and goals. Cut the crap, drop the smoke screen and just admit that you would rather make a pact with the devil before you would vote for a Black man. All we real Democrats can do is simply expose you for what you are and keep you in our prayers.
I will be praying for you guys because of your bitterness with the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama. It’s really sad to see you guys talk about that you are Democratic and are going to vote for the Replubicans. Let’s just face it, if it was a White Man, we would’nt have this issue and bitterness. I don’t think so. You were never Democratic to begin with. In your hearts you were always Replubican. Well I guest you want things to get worse in our country and it will get so much worse with John McCain in office. John McCain is for the rich and he is not for the working man. John McCain is for more WAR. John McCain does’nt even know how many houses he owns. John McCain wants to keep our troops in Iraq. John McCain wants to keep the same policies as George Bush for another four years. LET’S JUST FACE IT FOLKS, THIS SITE IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE ALL OVER AMERICA NOT TO VOTE FOR A BLACK MAN. YOU GUYS ARE SECRETLY RACIST!!! There needs to be a site that will get the people that are true DEMOCRATS TO PETITION AND GET YOU OFF ANY ADVERTISEMENT. YOU ARE GUYS ARE THE DEVIL INCARNATED. GO RIGHT AHEAD AND VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN AND IF HE WINS, WATCH THIS COUNTRY GO UP IN FLAMES AND BE DESTROYED. GO OBAMA!!!
Testimonial: Excellent, I recommend! visit: http://www.sinepenis.com
Please spare me the details!!!!!! You guys have no idea what your getting yourselves into. You would much rather suffer another 4 years because Hiliary Clinton didn’t win, in order for her to run again in 4 more years!!!!! What makes you think that the Obama supporters will back Clinton in the next time around!!!! Thats the problem with women these days we fail to listen. McCain is just trying to lead us in big old drama ball, and he continues to pull slimy tricks out of his hat to lure us in- becuse we are so emotional in regards to Hiliary losing. So what do we do, we lean on to good old estrogen instead of using common and logical sense!!!!!
Indulge this question please, did McCain pick Palin to just to appeal to PUMA and Clinton faithful or is there more to it?
I think its a tactic! Barack did not pick Hiliary as his running mate, and he is aware of women wanting to make history. He figures lets kill two birds with one stone! A women, and a women in politics. But he fails to realize that he too, choose someone that has less political experience. She said herself today, a women is her to step in and finish what Hiliary has started! So she letting us know. they anticipate on retrieving Hiliarys supporters on their band wagon. McCain is smiling right know saying to himself checkmate!!!!!!!
Really?
I want to throw statements around like “Never has America been so ignorant.”
And yet I know that is not true. So PUMA you are entitled to do whatever you want.
If Hilary had won the nomination, and in the midst of the campaign had 180’d on everything that made you want to support her would you have become McCain supporters then? Or would you have stood by her and said No I believe in her?
If your answer is the latter then why not listen to Hillary.
No one forced her to make an appearance, because as we all know Hillary is strong enough to make decisions on her own.
Do you believe she lied at the DNC podium and is hoping you in fact help McCain get elected only so she can return in ‘12.
That means you and her both believe that the ends justify the means. That death, despair, and inequity for four more years is an even trade to make sure she can run and win in ‘12. None of this makes sense. But do what you wish.
I hope that you proudly display those bumper stickers shouting out how you supported McCain in 08.
And please be proud enough to still display them when your plan comes to fruition in ‘12 and you slap on the Hillary sticker.
Why not add in there a sticker that says
“I supported torture in ‘08 so Hilary could stop it in ‘12″
Kinda snazzy.
Enjoy your freedom of choice responsibly.
I agree hank! Please talk some sense to individuals!
Just saw some stupid chick on MSNNBC praising McCain VP choice. What a crock? Women will vote for a Right to Life unprepared to be Prez gimmick, just because she’s a she???
Maybe we should all start lining up now to have cervixes checked so they can see what we’re doing/done with our bodies!
Ok, it might be cool to have a chick selected, but keep your panties. McCain’s only met his “choice” twice before in his life!!! There’s a lot to still find out.
This all comes down to one thing…Democrats who are racists.
You PUMAs are so disingenuous. During, and shortly after the primaries, your main argument was that you were mad Hillary wasn’t winning NOT because she was a woman but because she truly was the one with experience and that Obama would be like BUsh (learning on the job).
Now I hear one of your members on TV today joyful McCain picked a woman and saying how you are surely for this.
You people are CRAZY!
PYMAs are not just racist — they’re sexist! They hate men more then they love this country. They’re willing to put us in jeopardy of more conservatives on the Supreme Court, no healthcare reform, etc, etc. just for they’re PHONEY anti-penis woman power!
What a shame!
I will now vote for McCain. Women power!
SOOOOOOOOOOOO let me get this straight…. yall are going to put the country in danger just because you want a woman vice president and because Hillary lost??!! wow can some one say STUPID!!!! What happens if something happens and Sarah Pailin has to lead our country?? Do you think she is ready to lead!!! At least more ready to lead than Obama is???!!! What credible things has SHE done!!! governor for 2 terms WOW!! NOT!!!! I’m just a tween and I’M already smarter than YOU!!!!
think about it…
Let’s not forget that any president is as only as good as the group of advisers who really pull the strings in the background. This country as not had a president with a backbone for a very long time! The “one” who supposedly leads this country always comes down to who has the fattest wallet! And we all know the Cheney is the Puppet Master in the background of the Bush Administration. Not only do we need someone to lead this country with a real backbone, but a working brain is needed too! We need someone with common sense as well. And here is where common sense sarts, first we seal our borders and then stop all imports. Buy american made products and your money stays in country. Quit sending “Aid” to other countrys. How can you fix the worlds problems when we have things here far from being fixed. And none of these other countries give a damn about the average american citizen! So a farmer needs his crops taken from the field to the market, well how about taking all the lame ass criminals and making chain gangs to work the fields. Problem solved. See how easy that was. And it will hopefully teach some idiot two things, prison sucks and maybe some work ethnics to prisoners. Now I know a bunch of bleeding-heart idiots are going to say that this idea is “cruel and unusual” punishment. I really don’t care. Every other country does exactly what they want while our politicians cry “foul” or “hey, you can’t do that”. Go to Saudi Arabia and steal something, they catch you and cut your hand off. Now I have never been there, but I bet that stealing and shoplifting and not much of a problem there.Do you think that Saudi Arabia cares that americans don’t approve of the type of punishment? Somehow I feel they don’t give a damn what we think! You see where I going with these statements? Our constitution starts off with” We The People”. Too bad that seems not to apply anymore. “Unity” in the world of politics and goverment, another joke. How about we have someone with brains and a backbone to run this country. It would not bother me if it is a woman or man. I just fortunate to have been raised by parents who taught me both common sense and an education learned from the classroom to all the books at the library. Oh yea, a strong backbone to help me stand up straight and carry me head up high on my way to work! Now it;s time for me to enjoy a tasty meal my lovely girlfriend has cooked for me. Last night I did the same for her. Hmmmm, sounds like we have a bit of unity in our house! KEEP IT SAFE, IF YOU CAN”T KEEP IT SAFE THEN KEEP IT SANITARY!!!!!!!
Wow, so let me get this straight:
1. Since 1980 there’s been a Bush or a Clinton in the executive branch of our government.
2. Hillary Clinton was somehow entitled to the Presidency… It was ‘her’ turn. OK.
3. I hear her supporters, of which I was one, saying things like, ‘Maybe then they’ll let her be president…’,
For 1&2–Is this a monarchy?
For 3–Hillary Clinton is a great leader and this nomination was hers to lose… It was HRC’s decision making and the nuts and bolts of HRC’s own organization that lost this:
a. She acted entitled, that she’d ‘wrap it up by February…’
b. She insulted the people that backed the opposition, effectively calling them idiots in a pipe dream…
c. She fell victim to poor staffing decisions and mismanagement.
d. She spent money at the wrong times in the wrong states and didn’t use her resources very strategically.
e. She relied far too heavily, way to early on her bulldog husband to go out there and attack the opposition. This was a slap in the face to feminists everywhere.
f. Her campaign was a huge corporation with a huge staff and hundreds of millions of dollars… Needless to say, her skills as a chief executive and manager leave quite a bit to be desired.
g. Her reaction time on the campaign trail was horrible…
h. She lost via the delegate math 3 months before she was ready to realize it and ‘took her ball and went home’, doing significant damage to the party in the process.
Yet y’all are totally happy to vote McCain and vote against everything Clinton stands for:
-Say good-bye to Roe v. Wade
-Say good-bye to anything close to universal medical coverage
-Say good-bye to a progressive tax structure that makes sense for the middle class
-Say good-bye to a sensible strategy in Iraq
-Say good-bye to any chance at the ERA or any equal pay for equal work amendment.
-Say Hello to the Fundamentalist Christian Oligarchy
Women power? Right… This site is nothing more than a love child between the McCain Campaign and Karl Rove. Great Work.
I wanted Hillary to win because I felt she would be the best for the job. With the experience she’s had in Washington and backing Bill she could make a real difference and get the country pointed in the right direction again. We’ll she didn’t win. Yes she made mistakes everyone does. She has done her duty and has backed Obama like she should. You all know she’s only backing him because she needs to be in good standing with the DNC to run in 2012. No harm in that! What we have to take from this is to overlook what she has to do and look for the better commander and chief to take the reins and get more issues resolved while keeping the country and all it’s people safe. This is not time for a President to be Learning- as- we- go. Obama has no real experience in foriegn matters, has not even been in Washington long enough to know a good place to eat! I think Obama might be a good leader if he got some real experience under his belt without having a million advisors tell him how to do his job. For most it’s nothing to do with race or gender, it’s finding the person with the least amount of flaws and the most experience. Well McCain even though old is the most experienced by far, and adding Palin only ads to the ticket for a different view of issues and someone that can help challenge McCain on making the right decisions that won’t follow behind Bush. I truly feel he wants to put Country First and with Palin added, the 2 put together have the courage, will power and experience to guide our country for the next 4 years.
With Obama I feel we’re getting a whole lot of political lip service that we can’t afford for the next 4 years!
** ** DEMOCRATS 4 MCCAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ** **
I am a conservative and almost always vote Republican (voted for Clinton his first term).
A lot of my friends and coworkers feel the same way I do: the DNC screwed the Hillary supporters via delegate fraud and rule changes. Although I think Hillary is the wrong direction for our country, I do feel that she did win the DNC primary. But the DNC establishment, led by Dean, Reid and Pelosi and the Big Media wanted Obama—not Hillary. They selected Obama.
We think you were cheated out of your American right to representation. We think you got a really raw deal and we don’t feel good about it. It would have been better for America if Hillary and McCain slugged it out. It should have been that way. I am sorry for how this turned out. Millions of Americans feel the same way. God bless you and good luck.
Sincerely,
Will from Nashville
I wish to thank “Will From Nashville” with taking the time for posting a great and thoughtful and intelligent response to some of the comments posted. It was nice to see someone else see how the DNC screwed it’s one party members. And to all the postings saying that people would not vote for a black man. I say to you, I would not hesitate at all to vote for Colin Powell. He was a great General in my opinion. I would vote for Colin Powell no matter what ticket he was on. It’s shame the way he was abused by the Bush Administration.
Hi! prozac
I cant believe we women would support McCain because he choose a women. He will set Hillary back to the days she has no power. My children are what matter not me or you my daughter will have less opportunities if McCain wins. I am a women not a dummy. If MCsame when Hillary can not run in the future because the women that McCain picked will ruin Washington for women thanks PUMA you guys have lost me.
google land site girl we clean mail land green german dog mail
Sorry Tanya, but your comment is baseless and is not backed up by statistics and/or reality.
Wage comparisons between genders have been tracked quite closerly over the last few decades, and the raw data contridicts your statement.
During the Carter years, the wage gap was largely unchanged between 1976 and 1980.
During Reagan’s first term in office, Gender wages took a slight dip in the first year, but started to trend up. Female wages trended up slightly faster.
By Reagan’s second term in office, male wages dipped slightly while female wages continued to climb.
During Bush Senior’s term, male salaries leveled off overall, while female salaries climbed another 2k per year average.
During Clinton’s entire 8 years in office, everyone’s average wage went up a few thousand per year, but the gap between male and female earners held steady.
During Bush 2’s two terms, Male wages have actually dropped slightly, while female wages have held stead or dipped at a lower rate than male earners.
There is still an $8-$10k per year wage gap between genders - which must be narrowed, however there’s one factor in play here that is making it harder and harder for that gap to narrow.
The average female length of career is statistically shorter then the length of a male career. When a male and a female start a job at the same time and work the same number of years, the wage gap is reduced.
But in real life, women are starting their careers a bit later on average, due to childbearing and other factors. So when census reports are taken, the average female executive has been on the job receiving raising for a shorter term on average than males have. Women of course are also more likely to take a break from developing their careers to have children which also has to be considered in the model.
The moral of the story is this.
Your conclusion that women will have LESS opportunities if McCain is President certainly does not pan out in the statistics. Equal pay for women has grown faster under Republican terms than they did under the last two Democrat terms.
Also during the last 8 years, women have been tapped for high profile positions a number of times - whether it be as secretary of state, appointment of judges or the number of female CEO’s of larger corperations.
Now the Republican ticket has a female as a VP hopeful when the Democrat ticket refused to even consider Hillary for the position.
As an independent, I’m not here to tout either party - but statistics are statistics. Results are results - and the conclusions you stated in the post above hold absolutely no water unless your ONLY guideline of woman acheivement is abortion related.
Let’s get real. There is far more to a woman than what to do about an unwanted pregnancy. Women don’t spend their entire lives getting pregnant when they don’t want to. Since both Dems and Republicans HAVE to approve a Supreme court nomination, it’s highly unlikely that the next 4 years will bring any change whatsoever in this area - regardless who gets nominated…. that is to say if there even IS a nomination over the next 4 years - which is unlikely.
Oh for FUCKS SAKES!
What the hell is wrong with these Obama supporters on here? the level of patronizing is disgusting.
It’s like this, it’s not about “she lost fair and square” It was about rampant relentless caucus FRAUD, buying off of super delegates with Pelosi’s PAC money..and Obama’s, it was VOTER FRAUD. In other words? She didn’t LOSE and we didn’t either. The process was illegally HI JACKED. And at the convention? Unprcidented bogus scripted roll call votes the likes of which are not even in the D.N.C. rule book.
Voter fraud get it? Voter fraud. Now I don’t know what country YOU live in but, telling women who sat for this blood bath of misogyny to shut up and get behind the crowned king candidate is just a smidge insulting, condescending an ridiculous. How about this. YOU get behind US because we are the only ones speaking up about things YOU say YOU care about, democracy circumvented this way is NOT democracy.
People have fought and died for our right to vote, women in particular were beaten, shackled and force fed for a vote we didn’t get until nineteen twenty.
HAD Hillary Clinton not been treated by her own party and our fellow ACORN bogus liberals to rampant voter fraud and misogyny then we’d be lining up like ducks. But NOT THIS TIME.
Two historic races were run here. One person cheated in every single caucus state and the other actually won this contest. What would you expect people of color to do in this situation were the circumstances reversed. Rampant racism and cheating by the party and the other candidate against Obama???? Would you be visiting THEIR blogs and saying “Oh just grow up, get over it, get in line, where else will you? Don’t you care about these other issues?”
No it’s because it was a woman this was done to you have no problem dismissing it as nothing. Which is quite strange and requires YOU examine YOUR attitudes. There is such a thing as righteous anger spurring you to action against utter corruption. Got a problem with it? Don’t come to PUMA sites then. But this time, I personally had my vote canceled out by this cheating. A vote that you might not care about but, that meant a hell of a lot to me and eighteen million more besides that might have meant a hell of a lot to this country.
The ultimate right of every American is to vote and have those votes counted fairly to reflect the will of the American people. Having just lost mine to banana republic tactics, I now realize just how very important it is to not back down to tyrants.
Nope, not in this life or any other. Not only that if he does go to the White House, I will do all in my power to expose him for the dirtiest Chicago politician of my lifetime..he will be disgraced by his OWN action and you must decide will you do the right thing or not.
Stop copying and pasting Obama feminist articles here that are the same damned article all over the net and think for yourself. You wanna back down to this one more time in the face of such hatred towards Senator Clinton and all women?? Go right ahead. Me? I’ve had enough. I want my vote to matter in future elections and therefore I can NEVER vote for Obama.
A man as corrupt as he is will never do all the things you think he stands for. He’ll stab all of you in the back as fast as he flip flopped on FISA. When someone shows you who they are and has cheated the party this much, you better believe them. Hell NO! I’m getting in line. GET OVER IT!
“OK, you’re deeply aggrieved that your candidate, who you think is entitled to the nomination, seems to have lost to someone who played fair and won.”
This is so insulting. Who wrote that “Dear Fellow Feminists”
What a bunch of hooey. No he didn’t play “fair” that’s the whole thing. Not fair at all. Can’t wait for the two documentaries come out. And talking down to us as if we haven’t always voted for candidates who lost to someone who “played fair and won”
That’s not what happened here. Not at all.
Dang, alicepaul. That was an education, and I think the best post so far. We knew this (the fraud) was going on, of course, months ago. And we knew Hillary did not lose. But no one talks about it now. The media willn ever talk about it. They are in bed with the Messiah now, like the wh-res they are.
Is a Puma anything like a MILF or a Cougar?
I am a graduate student filmmaker in Washington DC, and very interested in PUMA. I am interested in making a short piece (roughly 15 minutes) about the party, and am looking for interview subjects. If anyone is interested, or knows someone I might be able to contact, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks!

This summer and fall, I read 3 books: McCain’s “Faith of our Fathers” Obama’s “Dreams from my Father” and Corsi’s “Obama Nation.” All 3 were a chore to read, but I plowed through. What I learned is that we will be in a world of hurt if BO gets elected. I voted for Hillary in the primaries, but since she’s not our nominee, I will vote McCain. BO is too inexperienced and I don’t trust him.
Please think about supporting Ralph Nader.
http://www.votenader.org
It will be a big mistake to allow Sarah Palin into the white house.
Both BO and JM: support more nuclear power, voted for the 700 Billion bailout with NO corporate responsibility or conditions; voted for the patriot act. Never once mentioned the poor in the debates.
Ralph Nader would never betray the public like BO and JM have.
By choosing the lesser of two evils in the two party system you are justifying your own civic futility.
Use your protest vote to make a difference.

HI..
I’m not a Hillary supporter…I know it seems odd that I would be here. I just read an article over an newsmax about how awful the Hillary campaign and supporters were treated at the caucus’. I find it appaling that the MSM didn’t pick up on these stories that ya’ll had to share. Can’t believe that in AMERICA that this could happen. I am so sorry that the nomination was stolen from Hillary (yeah, she would have won the Presidental race) and I am so sorry that you were all so cheated so blantanly. I think Obama is going to cheat his way into the White house, but I hope that come 2012 that Hillary will get on the ticket where she should have been in the first place.
Bless..
Kat
saw you on Greta of Fox news tonight…..want to thank you for backing McCain/Palin …you have lots of strength and courage…Go Puma!!!!! Go McCain/Palin
my grandchildren just love and have to have your products
God bless America
Ex democrats here…I was glad to see that people know that ACORN stole Hilarys run at the whitehouse. It will alll come out when the election is over and Obama will expose hiself more then he already has.can you imagine the fake voters during the democratic primaries?Even campaign fraud.no wonder Obama didnt want public funds. This guy is going to cause alot of trouble in the coming days.Mark Joe Bidens words!
I just for the 1st time looked over P.U.M.A.. I have always voted democrat, not this time… He (Obama) will not answer anything, I do not want our president swearing in on the koran. Way to many ifs, about his background, birth place, church affiliations, where his funding is coming from, the list is endless..I could care less if he’s pink with polka dots, if he was up front about anything that might change me back to democrat, nice to see there are plenty of us who feel like this ;is a time to look at the man not the party affiliation. And I have never seen the media this way,, so biased. What’s up with the media. ? Late night hosts ? I hate being treated kinda like an idiot who can’t think for themselves, plus to top it all off you are not distributing my wealth to someone who probally isn’t an american citizen to start with. GIVE ME A BREAK !! NOBAMA FOR ME, I’M VOTING MCCAIN/PALIN
We must unite and get the word out to other PUMAs. We need some kind of national exposure. In order for us to get Hillary into office, we must vote for McCain in 2008. I voted for the first time for a Republican. I am not exactly proud of that but it’s done now.
Hillary 2012!!!

I have to say that this site is very uplifting. I am a staunch republican, but it is good to see that there are democrats in this country with brains!!!
With only five days left, we need to get our voices heard to prevent our great nation from turning into a complete Euro-style socalistic society.
Please join the “brains” of America and vote McCain/Palin ‘08!
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER. It took alot of courage and love for America for PUMA to take a stand for McCain/Palin.
I admire Hillary and have hoped that she would come out and say she was voting for John and Sarah because she did not trust obama and she truly loves the United States of America.
After watching the video http://www.citizenslim.com I realized all true Americans are in real harms way if obama is elected.
God Bless Ya’ll and God Bless America
I joined Hillary’s campaign when I saw how the media was maligning her. Please vote for John McCain to send a message to the DNC and the media that their behavior towards Hillary will not be tolerated. Thank you!
So, a PUMA is a right wing whackjob, probably a man, pretending to be a disgruntled Hillary supporter.
You ‘PUMA’s are pure class. Hurry, best go back and post on the freerepublic boards some more.
Did you all ever stop to think…. The election may have been stolen out from under Hillary…??? I hav ebeen a Democrate all my life, I caome from a long line of Democrates. BUT !!! NEVER AGAIN. !!!! corruption has taken my party. I SUPPORT FREEDOM IN MY COUNTRY and it’s VALUE SYSTEM and that is where my vote will go. This year I am voting the McCain ticket.
Just wanted to voice a quick complaint about your site, I know many, many, many, Democrats, myself, my family, my friends and neighbors, who are men voting for McCain.
So please, don’t assume all Democrats who support McCain are women, many of us are men.
Having said that, the ones I know range in age from 22 - 84, and thanks to Kerry’s rude comments towards McCain, none of us will be voting for him either.
Thank You for the wonderful site and forums. I have gotten much information and ammunition from you PUMA’s, to help me in my fight for McCain/Palin. I am a Dem voting Rep, turning Indepentant! Tired of the corruption in our party. COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY!
Again,
Thanks!
I saw this on the news the other day and thought …why not………this is a great place and one that was needed.
Down with Obama and his lines of lies…….
Susan J…………..let me help you *GET IT*
40 million babies murdered in this country each year, so their so called Mom’s won’t be bothered!
Affermitive action is a failure! How many billions have been spent? Our countrys values are almost gone. Its ME ME ME and forget about family.
I do not like Sara P. but lets be real, the media has been raking her over the coals.
Why is there Nothing on news about Obamas daddy?
I would rather have a Vet and war hero as President than a smooth talking person, who is spending millions to blanket the air waves with his CHANGE……..which is what??? He never really says. I hear him in his ads attacking McCain and calling him Bush…….what is Obamas plans? All he talks about is Change without ever saying what or how.
We all were lied to concerning Iraq. BUT…now we are there and we CAN NOT let leave until they can run their own country. Obama would *TALK* to the terrorists……..my God! If this man wins, get your little rugs ready with pads on your knees……we will all be kneeling 5 times a day facing the East, praying to a false God!
If you think I am being silly, you should check out the videos on You Tube on the Islam Parade It was on Madison Av. NY city. The entire street was blocked off and thousands of Mulsums were praying and carring protest signs and calling out their hate for the West and the Jews. They were carring American flags and where the stars use to be there was a Cresent Moon!!!!!!!
Take off your blinders, you are being led as sheep to the kill!
Hi guys…
I just thought i’d give you my 2 cents… as a life long Republican I have NEVER been a Hillary supporter….
but when i saw how her party gave her the Shaft, I had a whole new respect and affinity for a woman that I believe truly wanted the best for our country.
I guess i just wanted to express my solidarity…I have watched much of the videos of caucus shenanigans, and you have every right to feel disenfranchised from your party!
While we may never sit on the same side of the aisle, I hope that you guys can rally and take back the DNC that has been hijacked by an imposter.
FIGHT ON for WHAT THIS COUNTRY STANDS FOR!
Love,
A Lifetime Republican
(who wishes Hillary was on your ticket)
Hi,
I’m a lifetime Republican but this is the first year that I’ve really got into it.
I’ve researched so much in the past few months, including the primary as I watched Hillary get mocked and laughed at by an arrogant Obama. And what a job the Party did on Hillary and the rest of your party.
Obama scares the hell out of me.
Thank you for your support for Mccain/Palin.
I trully beleive they have the countrys interest at heart as apposed to the Obama personal agenda he has planned.for him and his lemmings.
Can anyone tell me what impact your group will have on election day? Especially in the important battleground states and Pennsylvania.
thank you and God bless you,
Dave Schweiss

I came here expecting to read some rants and comments from Hillary supporters. I got a heck of a lot more than I ever thought I would.
I am a truck-driving, 2nd amendment practicing, Christian conservative. As such, it should be easy for you to guess which party I usually vote for during the election process.
I won’t pretend to understand some of the Democratic party’s positions on some issues, but hey, that’s what makes this country great.
I wanted to just drop in, say hi, and leave HRC supporters with a couple of thoughts:
1) I happen to agree with some (notice qualifying word) of the things that Dems support. Without regard to the ultra-liberals that seem to be “in charge” at the DNC for the moment, let me whisper something to you. Sometimes, you go about your missions the wrong way. Fear may be a powerful motivating factor in some instances, but, eventually, people tire of the “Chicken Little” approach. Trust me, after Gore and the AGW deception, people are very leery of a LOT of things.
2) Item 1 notwithstanding, I support “being good stewards of the earth”. That means that overt things like poisoning fish with chemical waste discharge is a bad thing, but, the whole GHG crapola is NOT under mankind’s purview. And in case anyone hasn’t noticed, the temperature records (the REAL, unaltered, un-”smoothed” ones) track solar/sunspot activity nearly perfectly without large sections being removed because of “sampling anomalies”. Please tell me that no Dem in their right(sorry, no offense) mind would suggest that we are affecting, or could control, the sun. Get back to what is real, and proven, and unarguable(try to avoid the whole “the debate is over” thing) and whatever your goals may be, don’t try to whip the crowds into a frenzy using the MSM as “Kareem abdul Jabbar” in the movie of the Stephen King book “The Stand” (for those that couldn’t sit through a 6+hr movie, he was a bell-ringing doomsayer/crisis-crier cum prophet). The country has enough real problems without new one’s being fabricated out of whole cloth.
3) If Hillary had won the nomination, even I will admit that the Dems would have probably won, almost certainly. And I believe that HRC might even have been able to keep that viper Pelosi, and that poster boy for stupidity(Reid), well maybe not under control, but at least. in check.
4)But the thing that could(I think) make the election a mere formality for the Dems. would be this (and I am likely to be branded a traitor by my own party for saying this): For the PEOPLE of the Dem party to quietly examine their views on the Bill of Rights. Specifically the 1st & 2nd. As far as the 1st: There is a LOT of concern, not just amongst conservative bloggers, but average people I meet all over the country (as a trucker. As you might imagine, a LOT of them are the people the Dems claim to support.), about the so-called Fairness Doctrine. Regardless of it’s wording, please examine it’s intent critically and logically, then ask yourself if silencing opposing viewpoints is really what this country is about. I think that will be its ultimate result, regardless of wording or claimed “fairness”. But hey, I am just some dumb, neo-con trucker, right? Trust me, the concern is PREVALENT among MANY. And as far as the 2nd goes: if the Dem party would embrace the 2nd for the intent of its writers, not the “it’s for keeping a National Guard for the states” claim, and understand that there is NOT a loony ,ultra-rightwing, radical with an “assault rifle” hiding behind every tree or around every corner. Ever notice how where people are allowed to carry/posses/own/use firearms, the violent crime rates are lower? And that the inverse is also true? We like it that way, and so should you. Please, get over (I mean that nicely), the inordinate fear of firearms. You should be more worried about the people who don’t care about the laws that infringe upon the 2nd, and will cause you and your loved ones harm with the handgun they stole from _____(fill it in), rather than, say, the guy at the McDonald’s that prevented a potential massacre by bringing out his properly licensed firearm and shooting an armed robber. (By the way, he was later fired “for violating company policy, not the law. Way to show gratitude, huh?) Yes, there are a few “whack-jobs” who like to “rock-and-roll” on fully automatic out in the desert and remote areas. But even these guys are not the raving, frothing at the mouth, lunatics that the MSM always manages to portray them to be. 99% of them are just having a good time, and maybe blustering a little about the “cold, dead fingers” motto that some people love. That last 1%? They wouldn’t follow new legislation anyway. More laws don’t solve anything. They just create the possibility of another loophole for a criminal to walk away from a violent crime, scot-free.
Now, do I expect anyone to actually think honestly and critically about what I’ve written here? Of course not. After all, I’m just one of those bitter, gun-toting, Jesus-clinging, ultra-right wing, neo-con, stupid, commoner, labor-class truck driver. Right?
Oh, wait, I left out the whole racist thing, thank you very much Prof. Charles Ogletree of “vote for Obama or not, if you’re white you are probably still racist” fame. If EVERYONE would just stop playing this “card” for every tiny thing and quit teaching our children racism, it would be gone in one generation. I met a man in a truck stop in Iowa, a black man, and a fellow truck driver, who had, quite possibly, the most insightful way of teaching his kids about racism. He was 57 years old and wiser than me by far. When I asked him, how I, as a white man, should teach my own children about our country’s past ugliness, and still instill in them proper virtues, here’s what he told me:
“I sat my kids down at the kitchen table as soon as they were old enough to look up words in a dictionary and understand them, and I told them to look up the word friend. After they recited the dictionary definition to me, I asked them if they thought friends were a good or a bad thing. Invariably, they said that friends were good. I then told them to look at the definition of friend again and to tell me what the dictionary said about what color skin our friends were supposed to have. Without fail, looks of concern would cross their faces as they reopened the dictionary to the entry for friend, and looked for the information I asked of them. When they came to the inevitable realization that the dictionary did not tell them the color of their friends skin, I told them: “Good, keep it that way.” ”
I walked out of that truck stop with a lighter heart that evening, very thankful that I had met this man, and that I had found the courage to broach the subject of racism with him (after all I am “white”, he was “black”, and a truck stop is a VERY unwise place to get into a discussion about racial issues with men of dissimilar ethnicity). He was kind and patient with my questions, even though I may have come across as insensitive. (I don’t know if I did, but I will never win any awards for being PC.) This man changed my slow downward spiral of faith in this country and what my 12 years of military service had been for. You see… The whole Rev. Wright debacle had just been aired, with his GD America, and his US of KKKA, comments being preached from a church pulpit, and I was having a hard time believing that I had spent my time in the military, gone to Desert Shield and Desert Storm, etc., just so this “preacher” could preach hate at people. His words made me realize, much more than I already knew, that the MSM always goes for the most sensationalist approach, even if what they are reporting is just some faux “Reverend” with a hateful axe to grind. (except when they are promoting an agenda, we won’t go there)
If you made it this far through my first (and probably only) post here, then congratulations, I nearly didn’t. I had to stop typing 2 or 3 times to clear my throat (not bawling just a little gruff-voiced, you know?) and thought about just giving up, since I will likely be flamed and trashed thoroughly by several for daring to post my thoughts in this venue. I said all the above, to say this one thing: I have a powerful admiration for those of you who have the intestinal fortitude (Teddy called it “guts”) to do what you are doing, knowing that you face immeasurable scorn, derision, and outright hate for your choices. I will probably never agree with the Dem party “line” or “hardline”, but I think that you guys have more “guts” than the rest (the ultra-libs) of your party put together. I truly believe that you guys are doing what you believe to be right for your country, rather than be forced into acquiescence, and for that, I present my very deep and humble bow to you. Democrat or Republican, at the end of the day, I still tell anyone who asks about my bloodlines, that I am, by-the-grace-of-the-Almighty-God, a born free, dyed-in-the-wool, you-bet-your-butt, AMERICAN (and I will never let anyone forget it) and I believe you PUMAs to be the same. I would gladly stand shoulder to shoulder with any one of you to face anything radical enough to destroy this country. (And I sincerely hope and pray that I will never have to back those words up with force ever again)May God bless each and every one of you.
Very sorry for the long diatribe, I beg your forgiveness, as I apparently wax somewhat poetic when feeling patriotic.
PS (Lord, please forgive me) but: Hey, Prof. Ogletree? You can kiss my lily-white, glow-in-the-dark, hairy A$$! Here’s what I call a real man with whom I can identify as a “white” man:

I’m an American of Hispanic descent, raised Democrat but for various reasons, vote Republican often. I’m college educated, a feminist, considered ‘rich’ by Sens. Obama/Biden. I am voting for Sen. McCain for his experience, integrity, courage. I don’t agree with all his positions but I strongly feel he is the best choice for a strong America.
To be honest, when I first heard Sen. Clinton complain that Sen. Obama got all the easy questions, I thought she was just whining. But I paid attention, and it blew my mind! Not only did the media give him one pass after another [and they're still doing it], they are shameless about it! Obama was so condescending and arrogant toward Hillary but the media didn’t see it. When Ms. Ferraro called him on it, she was chastised - by the media.
But what’s most infuriating Obama’s lack of judgment, not only in his decades-long dealings with the likes of Rev. Wright and others, but also his naivete about foreign affairs.
It’s also interesting that Senators Obama and Biden feel that Americans need to pony up some more cash for ‘the needy.’ But look at their income tax returns, see the miniscule amount donated to charity? Obviously they’re all for helping the needy as long as it’s not with their money. Any extra dollars I have, I’d like to keep. For a nice car, home improvements, a mini-vacation, etc. I’ve helped my sisters with their kids’ college education, I give generously to charities of my choice, and would like to continue doing so. I don’t need Washington D.C. telling me I need to give them more so they can waste it.
My 401(k) fund is decimated thanks to Barney Frank and his ilk. You think the Cayman Island banks can help me stash a $50K CD? I sure as heck don’t want to pay taxes - again!
Why is it all you pumas voted for Obama today? What a bunch of B.S. you people spread.
From someone up north, I still cannot nor will I ever understand how so much money was received and spent on Obama’s election. Will we ever know just where the money came from? Some have said that it was from the common people, but we have also read/heard that some(many lots) of $ were from unknown(for example, one can sent a credit card full of money to be donated and there needs to be no name on it and there- fore cannot be traced). Hopefully now that O is going to be in office, he does not have to ‘pay back’ all the power-hungry ones who put him in! Lots of prayers and wishes go with this note. Change is necessary but credit must be given to McCain for a job no one from the Rep. party could have won! All/many things were stacked against him but he sure tried hard…and he was no less mean or kind than anyone else! Too bad only his wealth can be talked about but the wealth of O and Michelle cannot….
thank you.
I’d just like to say to the P.U.M.A. Party:
FUCK YOU.
Psalm 109:8 (King James Version)
Let his days be few; and let another take his office
Guess this whole site was pointless. And considering all the women Obama will put in his cabinet this site will look even more pointless in a few months.
Am thinking that more than a few PUMA members are racists, as well. Why else would true Democrats actively campaign to put someone whose principles are so far removed from our own into the White House?! Don’t associate yourselves with the DNC or call yourselves Democrats. Have the courage to be honest with others and yourselves–and just switch parties. I’ve got no respect for you. I was a Hillary supporter, too. The difference is that I was a Democrat first. Had she won the nomination, I would have rejoiced. But she didn’t…and I supported him. I’m with all of those who say–”GET OVER IT!”

Both of the political parties are serving themselves. The Democratic Party seems to ignore a good portion of the voting base. The Republican party seems only to be interested in stopping the Democrats and pleasing the fundamentalist right radicals. Somewhere in the middle most of the US is sitting in a political void.
Can the PUMA party become a viable alternative?
Superb site. You have got a new devotee. Please maintain the fabulous writings and I look forward to more of your newsworthy writings.

Very good article. I’ve found your site via Google and I’m really glad about the information you provide in your posts. Btw your sites layout is really broken on the Kmelon browser. Would be really great if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the good work!
Do you really think that was the best way to express your thoughts?
Do you not think it’d be better to consider carefully about this? That is not saying you are wrong, but when you write things similar to this, it will upset some folk. And I speculate if you’ve given thought to the other side of your statement.
think you have to improve a bit the design and usability of your blog Adults are just kids who owe money
Hey guys! I stumbled upon this site in hopes I would find a bot but no such luck so i figured I would share the one I found. Tribal wars is going to implement a captcha system but after talking to this guy i know he has plans.. So check it out, he’s very promising.
