I am still amazed at how Barack Obama just “breezes” along. The MSM’s and the George Soros backed Media Matters along with Howard Dean backing and lauding the Netroots Nation have succeeded in hiding any vetting of the presumptive Democratic nominee.
I read an article yesterday that Obama is so elitist and arrogant that when in Washington, D.C., he doesn’t even speak to colleagues, just is in his “own little world”, the Obama dream of Stalinist tactics. Now today I read an article about Obama’s national civil defense ideals.
Goals set for students
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set,” he said Wednesday. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
He said he would make federal assistance conditional on school districts establishing service programs and set the goal of 50 hours of service a year for middle school and high school students.
For college students, Obama would set the goal at 100 hours of service a year and create a $4,000 annual tax credit for college students tied to that level of service.

Has anyone wondered WHY the Obama campaign, the YDS.org and the CPUSA.org are “recruiting” the youth? The college campus students, the High School students?
Are we to see the civilian national security force in brown uniforms walking amongst us?
I have said this before and I will keep repeating this until America “gets it”. Obama is pushing a Socialism agenda and his ideal America is one that he dictates. Two of the most powerful people in the Democratic Party, Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean have been pushing for their “Selected Candidate” for POTUS. What you ask? Let me explain with a little insight for you.
Nancy Pelosi:
The Socialists Behind the “Progressive Caucus”
As the Congressional Progressive Caucus is the most powerful and radical group in the new US Congress, it might be useful to find out who is behind the organisation.
The most obvious backers of the CPC are the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
DSA is the principal US affiliate of the Socialist International, a federation of socialist, social democratic and labour parties.
“We are socialists,” says the organization “because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo…. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed. …
Formed in 1983, DSA brought together what it calls “former Socialists and Communists, former old leftists and new leftists, and many who had never been leftists at all.”
According to US commentator and former leftist, David Horowitz’s website, Discover the Network, DSA seeks to increase its political influence not by establishing its own party, but rather by working closely with the Democratic Party to promote leftist agendas.
“Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious, and community organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party… We work with those movements to strengthen the party’s left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus. … Maybe sometime in the future … an alternative national party will be viable. For now, we will continue to support progressives who have a real chance at winning elections, which usually means left-wing Democrats.”Horowitz goes on to say:
“Until 1999, DSA hosted the website of the Progressive Caucus. Following a subsequent expose of the link between the two entities, the Progressive Caucus established its own website under the auspices of Congress. But DSA and the Progressive Caucus remain intimately linked. All 58 (Now number 72 as of 2006) Progressive Caucus members also belong to DSA.
DSA recognizes that some insurgent politicians representing labor, environmentalists, gays and lesbians, and communities of color may choose to run under Democratic auspices, as in the 1988 Jesse Jackson campaign, or operate as Democrats like Senator Paul Wellstone, and the 59 Democratic members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, one-half of whom are Black and Latino and all of whom possess strong labor backing and operative social democratic politics.
Electoral tactics are only a means for DSA; the building of a powerful anti-corporate and ultimately socialist movement is the end. Where third party or non-partisan candidates represent significant social movements DSA locals have and will continue to build such organizations and support such candidates. DSA honored independent socialist Congressperson Bernie Sanders of Vermont at our last convention banquet, and we have always raised significant funds nationally for his electoral campaigns.
At the same time, we were pleased to have Democratic Congressperson and Progressive Caucus member Bob Filner of San Diego introduce Sanders at the convention, and note that Progressive Caucus member Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), a close friend of Obama’s, will be honored at our annual Debs-Thomas-Harrington dinner this Spring in Chicago
“Stress our Democratic Party strategy and electoral work… “The Democratic Party is something the public understands, and association with it takes the edge off. Stressing our Democratic Party work will establish some distance from the radical subculture and help integrate you to the milieu of the young liberals.”
As of August 2005, DSA has 5-6,000 members, in 24 chartered “locals”. Many are influential and well known, including literary critic Irving Howe, feminist activist and journalist Gloria Steinem, actor Ed Asner, author Barbara Ehrenreich, 1997 New York City mayoral candidate Ruth Messinger, United Auto Workers co-founder Victor Reuther, leading African-American Studies professor Cornel West, linguist Noam Chomsky, political scientist Stephen Rosskamm Shalom, political columnist Harold Meyerson and AFL-CIO president, John Sweeney.
Pelosi leader of ‘Progressive Caucus’
Dems’ likely top House official part of powerful, socialist-linked bloc
WorldNetDaily
reported on November 11, 2002:
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., (Now Speaker of the House of Congress),
the likely new minority leader in the House of Representatives, serves on the executive committee of the socialist-leaning Progressive Caucus, a bloc of about 60 votes or nearly 30 percent of the minority vote in the lower chamber.
The Democratic Socialists of America’s chief organizing goal is to work within the Democratic Party and remove the stigma attached to “socialism” in the eyes of most Americans.
Nevertheless, the goal of the Democratic Socialists of America has never been deeply hidden. Prior to the cleanup of its website in 1999, the DSA included a song list featuring “The Internationale,” the worldwide anthem of communism and socialism. [REMEMBER the band in OREGON…what song did they OPEN with?] Another song on the site was “Red Revolution” sung to the tune of “Red Robin.” The lyrics went: “When the Red Revolution brings its solution along, along, there’ll be no more lootin’ when we start shootin’ that Wall Street throng. …” Another song removed after WorldNetDaily’s expose was “Are You Sleeping, Bourgeoisie?” The lyrics went: “Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping? Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie. And when the revolution comes, We’ll kill you all with knives and guns, Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie.”
Until 1999, the website of the Progressive Caucus was hosted by the Democratic Socialists of America. Following an expose of the link between the two organizations in WorldNetDaily, the Progressive Caucus established its own website under the auspices of Congress. Another officer of the Progressive Caucus, and one of its guiding lights, is avowed socialist Rep. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent.
Whatever her official posture, Nancy Pelosi is not neutral in the Democratic primary.
In effect, Pelosi has now said on national television that Clinton will hurt the party if she succeeds.
This might be surprising if Pelosi really were neutral. But by all measures, she isn’t – and hasn’t been for a long time. She was somewhat cool to Clinton and her campaign from the very beginning of the 2008 cycle, and over time began sending clear signals that Obama is her candidate. When George Miller and Anna Eshoo, fellow House Democrats from California through whom Pelosi often telegraphs her wishes, endorsed Obama a few months back, the hand of the Speaker was apparent.
There are both philosophical and pragmatic factors underpinning Pelosi’s preference for Obama – and lack of enthusiasm for Clinton.
On this level, Obama, who spoke out against the war in the fall of ’02, is the natural choice for Pelosi, especially compared to Clinton, one of the many congressional Democrats who sided with the White House. When it comes to ending the war, and to avoiding similar entanglements in the future, Pelosi can reasonably conclude that she’d have a far more reliable partner in a President Obama than in a President Clinton.
The pragmatic impetus for Pelosi’s pro-Obama posture may be even stronger. On Iraq and so many other issues, she has experienced the limits of a barebones House majority. But there is a clear opportunity this year for Democrats not just to maintain control of the House, but to tighten their grip substantially.

Unite for a Progressive President (Dec 2007 - Jan 2008)
After holding the largest on-line Presidential poll of 2008, Democracy for America launched our Unite for a Progressive President campaign. DFA Members signed a call to action and wrote thousands of letters to Iowa watch a video of the letter writing here. DFA held a Live from the Iowa caucuses conference call the night before as thousands of DFA members at Link-Ups and in homes got a first hand glimpse on the ground in Iowa. And, Democracy for America purchased an ad in the Des Moines register calling on Democrats to Unite for a Progressive President. The campaign was victorious as Congressman Kucinich called on his supporters to caucus for Sen. Obama, and Senators Obama and Edwards finished in first and second place respectively . Check out the on the ground reports at Blog for America. (Day 1- Davenport, Day 2 - Des Moines)
DFA and the Presidential Race (2007)
All throughout 2007, DFA members were engaged in the Presidential race. DFA kicked off the year with messages to the candidates demanding to hear their plans for ending the Iraq War and combating global warming - and Senators Edwards and Obama, Gov. Richardson, and Rep. Kucinich responded with special videos to DFA members. Gov. Richardson sent campaign staff to a DFA Training Academy and Sen. Obama’s campaign used the Training Academy manual for their trainings. This engagement culminated in November of 2007, with the largest online poll of the election season. Over 154,000 DFA members voted in response to “Vote for Me Messages” from the candidates in the race. As a response to the overwhelming support for progressive leaders, DFA launched the Unite for a Progressive President campaign.June 19th will be a national day of action on health care and in Chicago, a coalition of unions, community and advocacy groups are planning a rally in to highlight the issue of the uninsured. The rally will be held Saturday, June 19, at Noon in Lincoln Park near North Avenue and Lake Shore Drive (in “Grove 2″).

Nancy Pelosi’s Not-So-Secret Support for Obama
This might be surprising if Pelosi really were neutral. But by all measures, she isn’t – and hasn’t been for a long time. She was somewhat cool to Clinton and her campaign from the very beginning of the 2008 cycle, and over time began sending clear signals that Obama is her candidate. When George Miller and Anna Eshoo, fellow House Democrats from California through whom Pelosi often telegraphs her wishes, endorsed Obama a few months back, the hand of the Speaker was apparent.
Yet, Howard Dean stated he was “Neutral” during the primaries? He FOUNDED the DFA…Hello America? Did you get that
Howard Dean backed Bernie Sanders run for the Senate from Vermont in 2006 as well as Barack Obama.
Now here is the clincher:
The DSA, the ChicagoDSA, the International Socialists, the European Socialists are ALL tied together. All part of a cohesive unit of the other: All working for the same goal.
The rally will feature prominent health care reformers like Dr. Quentin Young, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Democratic Senatorial nominee Barack Obama and former Democratic presidential primary candidate and former Governor of Vermont Howard Dean.
There will also be music, propaganda and lots of fun.
Barack Obama has been tied into the Chicago DSA since at least 1996.
Chicago New Party Update
by Bruce Bentley
The NP’s political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to “win”. This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.
The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia’s District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer’s vacant seat.

Over three hundred people attended the first of two Town Meetings on Economic Insecurity on February 25 in Ida Noyes Hall at the University of Chicago. Entitled “Employment and Survival in Urban America”, the meeting was sponsored by the UofC DSA Youth Section, Chicago DSA and University Democrats. The panelists were Toni Preckwinkle, Alderman of Chicago’s 4th Ward; Barack Obama, candidate for the 13th Illinois Senate District; Professor William Julius Wilson, Center for the Study of Urban Inequality at the University of Chicago; Professor Michael Dawson, University of Chicago; and Professor Joseph Schwartz, Temple University and a member of DSA’s National Political Committee.
One of the themes that has emerged in Barack Obama’s campaign is “what does it take to create productive communities”, not just consumptive communities. It is an issue that joins some of the best instincts of the conservatives with the better instincts of the left. He felt the state government has three constructive roles to play.
The first is “human capital development”.
The state government can also play a role in redistribution, the allocation of wages and jobs.
The government can use as tools labor law reform, public works and contracts.

We should instead be globalizing the values of equality, a living wage and environmental sustainability in the new world order, not hoping our deepest concerns will be protected by trickle-down economics or charitable billionaires. By its very existence, the Obama campaign will stimulate a vision of globalization from below.
