Nobody believes they can control the outcome of 2012 that is a spin from the Obama camp. I do believe that experience is important and do not believe that Obama can lead this country. He says he will supply the vision and get others to do the work. We have just seen 8 years of that leadership style. How did it work for you? We need solid leadership not a vision. Furthermore Bush pushed the tax cuts for the wealthy McCain voted against it and he is still being criticized for it by his party. McCain has said that we need to send troops to Afghanistan, the same type of surge that is working Iraq, even though I was like so many others and thought it would not work. Although unlike Obama I am willing to admit I was wrong. For the first time that I can remember a republican candidate is talking about the environment, however the powers that be in the democratic party refuse to acknowledge he is doing it. McCain is not George Bush, he never has been like GW and he never will be.

We can all dig up facts to support our claims.

There is no denying that McCain has been in Washington for a long time.

The question we have to ask is, Is his "experience beneficial to the US moving forward.

Is his "experience" on gay adoption what we need?
Is his "experience" on female reproductive rights what we want?
Is his "experience" on tax cuts for the wealthy beneficial to today's economy?
Is his "experience" on keeping troops in Iraq and ignoring Afghanistan going to keep us safe from terror?
Is his "experience" on the environment going to preserve our world?

Unfortunately, this is politics and NO ONE is squeaky clean. I could dig up all sorts of negative garbage about Hillary but what purpose would that serve?

They're politicians and they've all done some great things and some not so great things. You don't get this far in the game without getting dirty. We shouldn't kid ourselves. I hardly view Obama as the second coming...that's just crazy. Am I caught up in the fascination...sure it's hard not to be.

If you think that voting for McCain and his brand of experience is the right direction for this country...go for it. But don't think that you can control the outcome of the 2012 election...that's just silly.

In four years there will be some new hot shot that sweeps in and steals the show.

It's OK to be pissed off but come on.

And as far as Obama's church affiliation. It really sucks that they played Jeremiah Wright's soundbite over and over again. It's unfortunate that a shadow was cast on an entire church. The truth is that there is a long history of politics in the African American church that goes back to slavery when church was the only safe place to talk politics. Does that upset people...I'm sure but it is what it is. I think that if you listened to some of Jeremiah's sermons in their entirety you would be surprised at some of the truth you would find. Anderson Cooper did a piece about this and when you delve a little deeper, his comments weren't as "inflammatory" as they first appeared.

I agree that it is unfair that Clinton's legacy was tarnished in South Carolina but unfortunately that's the nature of politics. Just like Obama's bitter comments were taken out of context, you have to be very very careful of the things that you say.

The media blew Clinton's comments in South Carolina out of proportion just as they blew Hillary's sniper fire gaffe, Jeremiah Wright's sermons, and Obama's bitter comments way out of proportion.

That's the great thing about politics...and it all made for some very exciting news (even when my guy was down).

Also, I realize that you support Hillary and that's great. When I lived in New York, I supported her for Senator. All of you PUMAs think that you're standing up for her but the truth is that Hillary is a US Senator and a multimillionaire...she's going to be OK.

I am not a millionaire and this republican economy is scaring me to death. I'm terrified that I'll lose my job and that I won't be able to pay my mortgage. Whatever lack of experience you feel limits Barack's ability to ably run this country will be balanced out by his cabinet and the many "expert" advisors that he will have around him.

But forget common sense, continue to cut off your nose to spite your face and I'll continue to pray that you come to your senses in November.

OutrageDemocrat,

You're right...every vote does count and I don't take for granted that angry Hillary supporters can ruin this thing for the rest of us. However, since we're recalling history, Bush was reelected in 2004. You're taking a very big gamble assuming that if you elect McCain into office, Hillary will win in 2012.

You couldn't even ensure that she would win the primary...how on earth can you control a general election in 4 years?

Getoverit,
Given the polls released today showing McCain now leading Obama do you really think every vote doesn't count. Look at Florida in 2000, your golden child seems to be alienating more people every day, probably because of posts made by people like you.

Oh and if she still has 18 million supporters, why hasn't she been able to retire her campaign debt? When my candidate needs money, I pay. I pay to show my support in a meaningful and helpful way. Blogs are great and "Democrats for McCain" bumper stickers really do send a message. Retiring Hillary's debt would send a bigger message and seeing how that hasn't happened...I'm starting to wonder.

Folks, Hillary HAD 18 million votes during the primaries. The primaries are over now and she no longer has 18 million supporters. The majority of those 18 million are Democrats or disaffected Republicans who will vote for Obama.

You're not as strong as you thing you are...no offense just common sense.

Several nights ago, a young man came to my door to encourage me to vote for Obama. I said to him, "If Hillary is the VP, all those who supported Obama will vote for Obama, and all those who voted for Hillary will also support them both. So it's a no brainer!. Why won't Obama accept here as VP?"

He replied, "Obama doesn't need Hillary".

Ok, then he doesn't need 18 million votes. I say 4 years for McCain will get 8 years with Hillary.
